Hey, I am a freshman in HS and I cant stay awake in math class, I generally go to bed around 10, but I just fall asleep right after luch (which is when math starts) how cna I stay awake?

Also, I am ALWAYS hungry! I am on the wrestling team and I have to cut weight, how do I ignore my hunger?

eat a lot. who cares. your a guy, you can burn it off in like an hour. and math is boring because its repetitive.

You are probably tired because your body is running out of nutrients due to cutting weight. Personally, I don't really think it's safe the way guys do this during wrestling season, but who am I to judge. What I would do, is make sure you're taking a multivitamin, or maybe have an Ensure drink every day, or powerbar...something that will give you the nutrients you are missing.

Second of all, to get rid of the hunger pangs without sabotaging your weight loss efforts, I would fill up on natural, empty calorie foods. Examples of this (celery, cucumber, lettuce, grapes, apples, etc). Apples contain pectin, which forms a gelatin in your stomach, and therefore will keep you feeling very full.

I'd just munch that stuff all day, keep filled up on water, and then only cut down on liquids or whatever you do the day of, or day before, in order to make weight or whatever- just not all the time! Hopefully my advice helps you attain your goal without any harm to your health:) Good luck!

HI, I think u have this problem cause of u r a freshman.
How many hours do u sleep all in all?
It is the worth idea go to the class with empty stomach. U gonna gain your weight soon by this way.
One day u just will faint if u r hungry and sleeping.
How many hours your math last you?
Your brain gonna became withered in some month.
Try do be on the fresh air at least half an hour per day.

don't eat much during lunch, so you won't get drowsy. Eat just enough.
for 2nd problem: Don't eat after 6 pm. EAt well before 6 pm

Get at least 8 hours of sleep maybe 9 because you are an athlete.
And brings snacks from home to solve the hunger issue

Certain foods take more out of you during the digestion. Try to eat a lighter lunch and a bigger supper.

Its called free will man, you need to fight and stay awake you need to fight to stop being hungry actually for the bed you should get like 8 hours lol.

you may be falling asleep in math because your body doesn't have enough energy b/c lack of food. some foods that fill you up and are not that fattening are:
- bananas
- bread (2 slices)
- mostly just munchies...a lot of the time your not hungry, just bored which makes you feel hungry.

Apples are very filling and scientifically proven to provide more of an energy boost than a cup of coffee. Also eat carrots with your lunch.

Take a multivitamin pill during your lunch. It takes about 20 minutes to hit your blood stream. Just in time for math. Make sure the vitamin contains B-12.

Twirl your pencil in class. Never let your pencil stop. That is a trick executives use to stay awake during long boring meetings.

I hope your not eating the school lunches! Go online and find a good diet professional wrestlers follow. The school lunches will slow you down. Your coach can also help you with a diet plan that will not leave you feeling hungry.

Go to bed at 9pm.

Don't eat a big lunch, might be making you tired. Have a red bull. You can't really ignore your hunger, but you just need to ask yourself what's more important: the twinkie or the team.

first to stay awake, take a rubber band put it on your wrist and keep pulling it and letting go it hurts a little but it keeps you awake.

as for your hunger problem your a growing teen you will ALWAYS be hungry till a little later in high school, but try some slim-fast it's supposed to fill the hunger for 4 hours...but other than that that's all i can say.

As a teenager, your body is changing so fast that you MUST listen to it and EAT when you are hungry. For gosh sakes, If you are going to be on the wrestling team, you will absolutely burn up those food calories and need more!!! Don't get into an unhealthy pattern of obsessing about food and exercise. Your growing brain also needs those calories and especially those FAT calories to work efficiently.
If you can't stay awake in Math & that is after lunch, you may be taking in a lot of carbs and not proteins. Carbs tend to make you sleepy within an hour after eating and protein doesn't. Take a look at what you are eating and do a little online nutrition studying...to inform yourself. Your body will need to be healthy to wrestle safely. These teen years are not the time to be scrimping on calories if you are not overweight to begin with.
