What color contacts would look better on me?...

Stupid Flanders
Which would you rather wear: glasses or contact lenses?
It's about as simple as that. I'm already wearing glasses but seriously thinking about getting contacts. I have no prior experience, and everyone I know says I will not be able to wear them, but none of these people actually have any first-hand experience with contacts. In terms of comfort, fashion, and reliability, which would you prefer. I would appreciate it if you could tell me why. Thank you all!

contact lenses are a lot easier because they're really easy to put on and you can't even feel them when they're on. Taking care of them is easy as well. Just make sure they don't dry out. Glasses are just bulky and hide your full face.

I wear contacts during the day and glasses at home. The first thing you want to do is get the right brand because some lenses are really dry and will drive you crazy. I use Acuvue Oasis which are the best ones out there. Also, they usually let you have a trial pair and give you two weeks to decide if you want to buy a box or not. Contacts are better looking but glasses are more comfortable.

I hate glasses. No vision to the side and all that junk on your face. Plus I work in a lab so I have to wear safety glasses all day I don't want 2 pair on!. I have contacts. They are comfortable and work well I have Acuview 2 (bad spelling) and I see better then 20/20 with them in. Problem is you don't want to leave them in for a long time cause they can cause extra blood vessels to grow in you eyes since it is being starved of oxygen and then you can go blind. So I want surgery.

i wear contacts and love them. they are really comfy. anybody can wear them. i was so scared to put them in the first time but now its nothing. its easy and fast. go for it. your eye doctor will teach you to put them in too.

I work for an optometrist - so basically it all depends on your prescription. Most people are able to wear contacts. Just make an appt with your doctor and they will know exactly what brand would be right for you. Of course it takes a lot of practice and patience at first with inserting and removing the contacts, but gets easier each time. And there are a lot of contacts now on the market that are great for comfort and dryness but it all depends on what your prescription is.

glasses it's safer!

jen :]
i would pick contacts, hands down. i used to have glasses but then i got contacts, and they are so much easier. it isnt much of a hassel, just putting them on in the morning, and taking out at night, during your regular bathroom routine. you dont notice them at all and you dont have to deal with glasses all day. in terms of fashion, if you like wearing glasses for style, then thats fine, but seriously contacts are worth it. good luckk!

Properly fitted contact lenses definitely give you superior vision, there is simply no comparison, and it is not at all difficult to get used to them if you wear soft lenses. The main drawback to contacts is the cost of maintaining them. If you dont clean them properly you risk eye infection and corneal damage. You also are stuck seeing the eye doctor yearly in most cases where with glasses it is ever other year. If you require a fairly strong prescription (greater than two diopters correction your prescription will read either +2.00 or higher or -2.00 or higher) I would definitely think about Lasik as a permanent fix at some point.

I think you should try contacts- you will feel like you had never needed any glasses.I am wearing them for seven years know. you'll see better and look better too:)

Contacts...hands down

I wear contacts and i think they are much better but they are lil more work!!! sometimes they move or get dry or somehing and you have to fixs them!!!! but i really think that contacts are much better in seeing!!!! it up to you maybe you should tell ur eye dr. that u are thinking about contacts and if you could try a free pair out just to see how you like them!!! i think that will be best!!!
