What's wrong with my eyes?
For a while now (like months) my eyes have been red. I thought nothing of it because they don't hurt or anything and when i apply eye drops it'll go away but it always returns But lately there has been a little pain but it's not constant and both my eyes have become red. The problem is that it's on and off, and some days they are just slightly red its almost invisible and some days they are bloodshot red. I suspect I have some kind of eye allergy. Its not pink eye because i did get medicine for that and it didn't do anything (I know obviously i need to see an eye doctor but I'd like to get some ideas of what cold be wrong before I go). Thank you for your time

it has to be eye allergies. i can't think of anything else. but yeah, u should see an eye doctor.

you are right it is most likely an allergy. hopefully the doctor will be able to give you some eye drops or something that will make it go away for good! hope you feel better!

are you tired? That could be the reason, that sometimes happens to me. Get some sleep maybe it'll go away.

its allergys.
my get all red when theres a lot of pollen outside

If you have been looking at screens that can cause like the tv or an computer or a game boy and if u stop looking at those the color red should go away

felipe R
sometimes its due to the wind so if your in a place where is somewhat windy your eyes could be very sensitive but then again like you said you need to see and Optometrist to get the right answer

could be a busted blood vessel

My eyes have that. I have allergies. I'm guessing to pollen.
Some days my eyes are worse and some days they are barely red. They can get painful and they itch sometimes.

Ice pack or cold compress will help swelling and redness

cant tell you a THING without a pic.

go to an eye doctor. your eyes are not a thing to play with. seriously.

you are right, probably an allergy, but dont take a chance. dont try to treat something that you dont know what it is.

I vote for eye doctor - the optometrists next to eye glass places are not full fledged doctors in that they can't treat diseases, but they do have training and recognize what they are looking at. They can also test for glaucoma (pressure in the eyeball) They may cost less if that is a consideration. Some ophthalmologists (full doctors of the eye) can't be visited without a referral by their own or by insurance rules.
