masks dont actually help you, yknow
best thing to do is to wash your hands all the time!!!
come of a bus? wash hands
train? plane? wash hands
wash hands after every meal.
even wash hands after being in contact with people
Unfortunately there is nothing that can protect you from inhaling the virusd
you just need to hope that the infected people arent so arrogant as to leave the house just to do the shopping and spread the disease D: |

It doesn't matter if you're going to be exposed - you're already infected.
New scientific reports have shown that swine flu resides in 97% of the human population. All that remains to be seen is who is resistant.
For my part, I'm scheduled for a blood transfusion from Chuck Norris. Good luck to the rest of you. |

Carry disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer. Use the disinfectant wipes for your seat armrests and tray tables, don't read the magazines in the seat backs because everyone else has handled them before you. WASH YOUR HANDS ALOT. A mask will not truly help you because you can absorb the flu virus through your eyes.
The hand washing and personal area sanitizing will be the best option for you. |

All things considered, the outbreak seems to be the tip of the proverbial iceberg.
Even if global coverage on the potential swine flu pandemic may be an over-reaction, it’s clear that the outbreak is still a serious issue . .In addition to the other questionable agribusiness practices of “confined animal feeding operations” – a new study by the Soil Association suggests that the overuse of antibiotics could also be a major factor in creating antibiotic resistant super-pathogens (aside from the mutant strain of viral swine flu wreaking havoc now). These bacterial superbugs include:
...methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus MRSA,
Tamiflu is still the recomended antibiotic to be had on hand |

Wash your hands
Cover mouth when you cough
Cover your nose when you sneeze

No airlines do not provide masks |

Buy hand sanitizer wipes (you don't have to worry about bringing the gel aboard-could be a hassle) and use them frequently during flight.
Keep hydrated, full of vitamin C (recommended dosage), try to get decent sleep and take AIRBORNE.
Here is an article being Proactive with Swine Flu including symptoms and treatments as well as links to the CDC where you'll get up to date info.

Spread of this swine influenza A (H1N1) virus is thought to be happening in the same way that seasonal flu spreads. Flu viruses are spread mainly from person to person through coughing or sneezing of people with influenza. Sometimes people may become infected by touching something with flu viruses on it and then touching their mouth or nose.
What can I do to protect myself from getting sick?
There is no vaccine available right now to protect against swine flu. There are everyday actions that can help prevent the spread of germs that cause respiratory illnesses like influenza. Take these everyday steps to protect your health:
Wash your hands often -- maybe even carry some hand sanitizer (alcohol-based hand cleaner) with you. Stay away from people who are sick. Give your immune system a boost by taking vitamins and eating healthy whole foods -- and stay away from the cheap, processed carbohydrates and if you're not feeling well, go and see your doctor.
Try to avoid close contact with sick people.
If I were you, I would bring along my own masks. Airlines don't usually provide them. The air on the planes is recirculated over and over throughout the plane. Good luck. |

Swine flu spreads between humans through coughing or sneezing and people touching something with the virus on it and then touching their own nose or mouth. It is not transmitted through food. Wash ur hands, especially after being in public. And disinfect household surfaces with diluted chlorine bleach solution. |

You don't need a mask, despite the hype its very unlikely you'll catch swine flu. If you do catch it its easily treatable with Tamiflu. Just enjoy your trip and dont worry about it. |

I think you'll be ok to be honest, swine flu is only an issue in some areas and I'm pretty sure they'd tell you, or have some kind of alert up. I don't think those places are too badly affected anyway, England seems to be but only in certain places. Nobody is panicked over here, so you have no need to be either.
Just to make sure, all I suggest is wash your hands regularly. If someone sneezes in your direction, there's not a lot you can do, but you can prevent the spread of diseases through your hands.
If you start to feel ill at any time, just make sure you keep tissues on you if you're going to sneeze. If it's swine flu symptoms, go see a doctor. The worst it'd do is spoil your trip, but to be honest when you think of the millions of people who leave in each country, and the amount who have actually caught swine flu, the chances of you catching it are pretty minimal, even if you tried. |

Do all the recommended things - wash hands, sneeze into a tissue and chuck it, if anybody sneezes in your direction, duck. But at the end of the day, if you are not immune compromised (diabetic eg) when it could be rather more serious for you, even if you contract this virus, provided you get it early enough and get the antiviral treatment, you'll be fine. Don't stress, enjoy your trip ........ otherwise we might as well all crawl into a ball and give up! |

Wash your hands regularly, particularly when before you eat & when you have been to the toilet. If you sneeze, catch it in a tissue and wash your hands. |
