Help me please =(!!!!!!!!!!?
I think I need to use crutches because after 13 days my ankle still is swollen, bruised and round. It also still hurts to walk on it, move it around and my other ankle has begun to ache because of the extra pressure being applied to my ankle after standing on one foot because I can't stand on my ankle for like more than 5 minutes. I'm kind of concerned because I hurt it falling down the stairs and I'm only 14 years old so I don't want to have any problems later when I'm older. It wasnt that bad originally but than I had to take gym class and it got like 20x worse. Should I be wearing a stirrup brace or what.
Also what is wrong with it
and what height should my crutches be exactly in feet please
I am around 5'8
do you also think I should be using crutches at school and home
My ankle brace didnt seem to help so I stopped wearing it and now it hurts
Elevating it doesnt seem to help because a few days ago I was elevating it and it hurt really badly
Please help!
Additional Details
if you do think I should be on crutches how do I make them more comftorable
Could my ankle also be broken, fractured or what

You need to go see a doc and get this checked out and get an excuse for gym. Head over to urgent care or ER and get this checked out.

It might be a foot fracture. Background
The navicular plays an important role in maintaining the medial longitudinal arch of the foot. Commonly, fractures of the navicular are not evident on plain radiographs. This often leads to a delay in diagnosis, which may result in prolonged disabling foot pain in individuals, particularly young athletes. The 4 types of navicular fractures are (1) cortical avulsion, (2) tuberosity, (3) body, and (4) stress. My friend had the same problem and he didn't get it checked for a month. If you can get an x-ray and the doctor will tell you the rest. Good luck.

Don't stop wearing your brace. It won't make it feel better but it is compression. Follow RICE. Rest Ice Compression Elevate. It will not necessarily make it feel better but it will help keep the swelling/inflammation down. I would say yes definitely get on crutches. If you go to the emergency room or a family practitioner they will probably recommend a stirrup brace. They will need to take xrays to make sure there is not a fracture. There are a whole lot of bones in the foot. When I mentioned the stirup braces to my podiatrist he scoffed at them and gave me a lace up brace that offered alot more support. I sprained my ankle when I was 17 and rushed off the crutches and ended up needing surgery 10 years later.(although I waited 9 years to go to a dr.) When you are in pain there is nothing wrong with going to the dr. It is better to be safe now then sorry later.

I think you need to go to the doctor. Sounds like you either broke it or you have some soft tissue damage. Go get some xrays.

Get proper medical help at an emergency center or go and see you doctor. Last time I looked at my doctor he was older than 14 and had no qualifications regards these sorts of things.
