That doesn't sound like fun. I suggest telling a parent and going to the doctor. They will probably give you an antibiotic for whatever infection you have. I would give you more advice, but I haven't experienced strep throat myself. I actually had really severe throat pains once. I was given this gross medicine but it worked in a couple of days. I hope this was somewhat helpful! Good luck. |

You might have strep, but it could just be really sore. I have been in the same sittuation.
Here is a home remedy that always helps me:
Mix lemon juice into honey and heat it in the microwave for a couple seconds. Then drink it.
**It might be extremely sweet, but it helps like CRAZY! Good luck =) |

sounds like strep, are you coughing a lot? cause that might mean that you may have bronchitis. but just to be sure, go to the doctors before it gets worse! |

Strep is often accompanied by a headache and/or fever. I don't know what Valleyfair is, but it sounds like a place that would not welcome the strep virus. Go see a doctor. |

No I don't think you have strep throat because it sounds like you have bronchitis, because I've had bronchitis 3 times this year, and I am developing as ma.
Or it could be allergies from the pollen fromthe flowers because of spring, because the same thing happened to me where I couldn't hardly eat or swallow.

The way you tell if it's strep, is if there are white spots on your throat. |

You probably should get to the doctor. Only a doctor can accurately diagnose you. It could be strep or it could be a viral infection.

nah probably not. just ignore it for as long as you can until you get sick. if you get real sick and have a bad fever you probably have strep. but until then just try to tough it out. save the money and the trip to the docs office. |

Symptoms
Common symptoms of strep throat in children and adults include:
Severe and sudden sore throat without coughing, sneezing, or other cold symptoms.
Pain or difficulty with swallowing.
Fever over 101 F; lower fevers may indicate a viral infection and not strep.
Swollen lymph nodes in the neck.
White or yellow spots or coating on the throat and tonsils.
Bright red throat or dark red spots on the roof of the mouth at the back near the throat.
Swollen tonsils, although this symptom may also be caused by a viral infection.
theres more on it if you go to the web site!

When you have strep throat you will usually see white spots on top of your tonsils or in the back of your throat. Also, it will be really red! If you go to a doctor tomorrow morning, and it is strep, they can begin an antibiotic and you will be feeling better by Friday! |

Might be. Go to a walk-in clinic and get yourself a prescription or some antibiotics. You might just start getting better by then. |

There is a chance you may have strep throat. The only sure way to know is by doing a strep test at the doctor's office. If you get a chance I would see one to make sure you're not contagious. |

The only way to tell if you have strep throat is through a quick test that your doctor can perform. It is very important to find out if it is strep, because, left untreated, it can become very serious. Also, it is contagious so you don't want to go away sick. Strep is usually pretty painful, so it's possible, but the stuff coming out of your throat sounds more like an allergy due to congestion. You could still have strep, though. Please get it checked, don't let it go. |

Strep throat, also called acute streptococcal pharyngitis, is an infection with group A streptococcus bacteria that causes a sore throat.
Scarlet fever (another form of group A strep disease) can follow strep throat. It is usually contagious and lasts for a specific length of time whether or not it is treated. |
