If you want to gain healthy weight then eat a lot of protein. Lots of meats and carbs. If you dont like meat then you can buy protein powder and supplements in GNC. Some of them taste pretty good. Ask the clerk, they can usually recommend a good one.

Dont just eat junk and soda - that is unhealthy weight.

Eat foods high in protein or fat. Eat about 2000-2100 calories a day.

Everyone's bodies are different and have different needs. Metabolism isn't always a factor in weight. i saw something on Discovery health where thy took a woman who was underweight and another who was overweight and they studied their metabolism and lifestyles. As it turned out, their metabolisms were virtually the same. The underweight one for whatever reason required more calories than the overweigh woman.

you just aren't getting enough fuel.

eat carbs, that should help :D and if you want u could try to start to weight train help build muscle and help gain weight, it won't bulk you up or anything promise b/c i had to do it b/c i was so weak :D i hope this helps

eat red velvet cake every night right b4 you go to bed. but you shouldn't force yourself to eat. That's not healthy. Ask your doctor if 1) you should try to gain weight and 2) how to gain weight.

My best friend is in the same boat but shes 4' 11" and weighs 90 lbs. I suggested to her that she start eating better and smaller meals more often so she dosen't fill up too fast and also to start lifing weights to gain muscle......muscle mass weighs more than fat...told her just to get some hand weights and when sitting at her desk at work use em, same things with ankle weights!

I am 5'6 and I weigh 100 pounds. First of all, be proud of your body type! Tons of people are dying to be skinny like you. Second, don't eat unhealthy food like the other people suggested. Start by drinking milkshakes and smoothies more. Then go for foods that are higher in carbs and protein, such as meat and pasta and bread. Third, this might sound strange, but exercise! Exercise helps you build muscle mass, which weigh more than regular fat. So the more muscle you have, the more you will weigh! Lastly, I'm assuming that you have a straight as a stick body type, most skinny people are. Wear clothes that accentuate your curves, like wrap shirts and jeans with a lot of detail at the pockets. Most importantly, don't forget that as you age your metablism will slow down so feel lucky right now that you can eat whatever u want without worry!

i was underweight too but i saw a nutritionist

u need to eat MORE CALORIES THEN U BURN TO GAIN WEIGHT...EAT MORE OF THESE TYPES OF SNACKS/FOODS ...

-Lean meats
-complex carbs(oatmeal, brown rice, whole wheat bread/pasta, some cereals)
-peanut butter or other nuts
-"proto pure" protein bars....each has 300 calories and 32 g protein but are low fat(7-8g), ok carb(around 26), very low sugar(1g), very healthy and delicious...i like the chewy chocolate chip and chocolate deluxe..or the regular "pure" protein bars but they are smaller and only have around 180-200 calories and 20 grams of protein
-loose granola
-dried fruit(especially raisins)-instead of fresh fruit
-muesli
-potatoes and corn instead of greens
-drink BOOST PLUS and ensure plus(the chocolate is the best) they have 350-360 calories each and have alot of vitamins, healthy fats, and the carbs u need...look them up...there is a difference between the regular and the plus...
-milk/other dairy products
-beans/seeds



U HAVE 2 MAKE SURE U DONT BURN WHAT U EAT AND HAVE A HEALTHY SNACK BEFORE BED LIKE A PB&J SANDWICH AND A GLASS OF CHOCOLATE MILK or boost plus

now if u need to, i dont recommend it but shove your face with junk food!...i did it but then i got tired of fried food and premium ice cream all the time!

seriously, dont exercise right now until u get to 110 pounds...u are supposed to wegh 125-130 actually...but most people think that weight lifting wil lhelp u gain muscle...well at how much u weigh, that would just make your muscle deteriorate and get really weak and lose more weight...no cardio other...at a weight with a bit more fat on u, u can slowly start weight lifting

If you are fighting against your metabolism, you are fighting an uphill battle. Try eating food that takes longer to digest, like meat and things with fiber.

Big Macs 2 for $4. And lose sleep. And get stressed out. Don't exercise. You're good.

Or gain weight through muscle mass. That's the healthiest way. The above suggestion is not.

omg i have the same problem but i learned to just like it i try now not to hate my body but to love it!! i think alot of us girls are to hard on ourselves.
Because i tried to gain weight for years and just cant and im not one of those people who dont eat either lol i eat alot i just have a really really fast metabolism..maybe your the same way so i mean good luck i tried and its hard dam near impossible but you just have to eat 3 times a day even single day with snacks in between hopefully you will or just be happy about who you are!!

I am sorry to tell you, but that is your body type. You may never gain weight but as long as stay healthy and eat right you have nothing to worry about.
