I'm 11 and I'm 94 pounds. is that WAY overweight?
I'm 12 in december.

My daughter is 8 and weights a little over 80 pounds. She is tall and slender. Age and weight aren't necessarily related it is the ratio between weight and height that matters. If you are not sure use a BMI calculator to figure it out.

You need to check your weight against your height, but as with other answers remember at this time in your life you will have a little puppy fat! Concentrate on finding a sport you like, or even trying to walk as much as possible, its cheap and free.... and good for the environment. Please don't get into the cycle of dieting and food obsession. Not sure if you are allowed to stay up and watch the channel 4 program.... do I look good naked! Finally a show that shows real women and not the airbrushed models and stars that appear in magazines. I think it is due back on air later in the year. Drink plenty of water, you know the stuff about healthy foods, and December is definitely the best month for a birthday!!!

You haven't said how tall you are, and whether big or small in build.

If you can grab lumps all over the place, then maybe you could reduce your intake of fatty and sugary foods.

My son is 10 1/2, he is 4' 10" and weighs about 85 lbs. So you cant be far off.


At the age of 12 I was 5'4" and 110 pounds. I thought I was huge.

Guess what? You're fine. Don't worry about it at this point in your life. The age of dieters keeps on dropping. I blame Hollywood--you don't need to be thin to be popular.

it is not necessary the weight but the ratio of your body fat.

Depends on how tall you are, but don't worry about it. Just eat healthy and exercise and you will be fine.

That's pretty tiny. Please don't develop weight issues so young.

it depends upon your height. also, weight and height and various things change swiftly, during the preteen (and teen) years. eat healthily, play outside, if kids still do such things, and i'm sure you'll be fine (which is not to say you're NOT fine, now - just keep it up!).

depend on your height, 94lbs is a good weight, you grow into your body in due time if your feeling your too big.

naw, i was 110 at 12 and super healthy, thats way too young to worry about it, even if you are a little chubby you will probably grow into it in the next couple years.

NO NO NO! I have a 12 year old daughter (will be 13 in January) and she weighs 130. Your weight has very little to do with your age and more to do with your height and the size of your frame (your bones).

Everybody comes in different sizes and shapes. If you aren't having to buy your clothes in the plus size department, you are probably fine. Remember, your body is developing right now. Your hips and your breasts are formed from fat cells.

If you are concerned about your weight, talk to your Mom or your doctor. They can set you straight as to how much you should weigh. In the mean time, enjoy being 11 and all that has to offer.
