 Is there any way to stop women from eating so much and getting too fat to love?
I went to the club on friday, and all I saw were fat girls. How can we stop this from being an everyday normal thing.

Im currently eating around 200-400 calories a day. Im desperate to loose weight. I weigh 141 and im 5ft8". Will this work?

That amounts to starvation and if you keep going at this rate you are going to end up in hospital.

Your not exactly huge.. But allowing your body to only take 200-400 calories per day is not exactly healthy for your body. You need 2000 calories per day. The true way to loose weight is through exercise and a healthy balanced diet. Just avoid eating fatty foods and red meat, and with the help of exercise every day your body should gradually loose weight, in a healthy manner. Try going for a jog in the morning for half an hour or a full hour, and then go to the gym in the evenings every day. I lost 11 pounds in less than 2 months through this method and I was taking 1500 calories each day.

Second of all, 200-400 calories a day is NOT enough food. You should not eat less than 1200 if you are a woman. Eat right. Eat clean. Eat low calorie - but low calorie for you is probably 1500 to 1800, and you probably break even at over 2000.

5ft8" and 140lbs you are not fat. Keep going for another couple of weeks and you will see. DO NOT over-do it.

I went into a long tirade about self image, eating disorders, etc...You need to seek medical attention immediately for a couple of things...a possible eating disorder and a self image issue. Go to a doctor immediately and stop doing what you are doing.

200-400 calories a day is to little you willlose what muscle tone you have. I suggest if you are serious... Go minimum 1,000 calories a day and exercise for 30 min to 1 hour a day preferably in the am. Try to make a game out of how much exercise you can get in. Situps for 5 min here.. Leg lifts while watching tv or some squats.. It will all add up.. I did that for 6 weeks and I lost 10% body fat and lost 20 pds (158 to 138 )
your height and weight proprtion seems good. Maybe focus on toning muscle vs losing weight? Sometimes our visions of ourselves are messed up. Do you have a best friend that you trust to tell you how you look? Feel healthy and beautiful at any weight. Good self esteem is great and shows.

Your body goes into starvation mode and will retain as much body fat as possible because it thinks there is no food and you will need to use the fat very slowly to prolong your life! You should NEVER go below 1300 calories /day without approval from your doctor. You need at least that many calories just to get through your laziest day.

That is a dangereously low calorie intake. You are probably not getting enough nutrients.
You wil lose weight eventually, but you will also probably get sick from various nutritional deficiencies. More importantly, there is no guarantee that you will lose the weight from the right places.
Since you are not teribly overweight, it might be better to eat a more balanced diet, and take a longer perspective.

This is deffinitaly not the way to lose weight, the holocaust victims had more nurishment than that. That is a very unsafe way to lose weight, the doctor recomended and safe way to lose weight is to lose only 1-3 pounds a week, its slow i know, but give it some time, it will come off. aim to be eating 200-400 calories LESS a day, not only 200 - 400 calories, thats like 2 packeges of peanutbutter crackers. i used to weigh 183 pounds 9 months ago, now i weigh 156, i did this by slow dieting and working out. I recomend doing the same, start running, walking whatever, get some exercize, limit your snacks, and only drink water, water alone will cut about 300 or 400 calories a day. But again, i cannot stress enough how unhealthy it is for you to lose weight that rapidly, it is borderline annorexia, after you burn all your fat, your body will turn to its next source, your own muscle tissue and organs, your body will literally eat itself to stay alive. and a P.S. 141 pounds as 5 8, is not very fat, im 5 11 and 157.

I am 5'9" and weigh 160 and I look thin so stop this foolishness and get yourself back up to at least 1000 calories a day before you get sick! If you want to lose, exercise, don't starve yourself.

I'm sorry, but you are NOT losing any weight. You need to eat AT LEAST 1,500 calories a day, and 'burn' 2,000 calories a day to lose weight, and you can lose it at the rate of approximately 2 pounds per week. I'm sorry you think you 'look fat' but you are NOT FAT, you are 'right on the money' for your height ... and you are just 'starving yourself' and could ge malnourished, in which case your stomach will get 'larger' and your arms and legs will get extremely thin ... and I do trust that you don't want to look like a Biafran child. You may have an eating disorder, and if you can't start yourself on a 'good diet' then I suggest you consult a psychologist about your eating.

200-400 calories per day is nowhere near enough. You're going to ruin your metabolism, which will inhibit any future weight loss.

Up your calorie intake (with healthy foods) and increase your cardio if you really want to lose weight.

200-400 calories a day? what are you eating? you're starving yourself. you need more like 1500 minimum. you need to just expend more calories than you consume daily. this is a terrible diet Plan and you should always consult someone who is experienced before making drastic changes.

i'm so sorry to hear that your starving yourself. this method, in the longterm, will do little to assist you in getting rid of excessive weight. it will, however, destroy vital muscle tissue, tendons, brain cells, cartildge, and leave you near death. the only way to really lose weight is a sensible diet and EXERCISE!

I don't think its very healthy! maybe just try to have a balanced diet! or cut down on fatty foods or carbs or something!

You need to eat more than that. Google 'daily calorie intake' and you can determine your body requirements. Only cut that by a few hundred calories (don't cut more than that).

See what happens when you only eat a couple hundred calories a day, your body gets mad and holds on to what ever it can get. If you eat your recommended intake you will lose more than what you would if you ate what you are now.

The best way to lose weight is to eat a balanced diet with exercise. 200 calories is not enough for a healthy young woman to survive on. If you want a professional opinion, ask your doctor, or contact a nutritionist. Also, you might want to talk to a psychologist, who may be able to help as well! Good luck.

No, it will not work.

The only weight you've lost is water weight. Once you start eating like a normal person again, you'll gain it all back.

Why can't you see that you've 'lost' weight? Because you haven't lost any FAT!

Sweetie, you might want to consider checking yourself into a clinic. 200 calories a day is heading toward a path of anorexia. Starving yourself is not a healthy way to lose the weight. 141lbs at 5'8'' is not even fat! Good luck to you!

Your body is sensing starvation, your metabolism is shutting down. I suggest you meet with a counselor ASAP!

You're still looking fat because you're starving yourself. The body is very good at regulating itself, so when you eat too little your body greedily hangs on to every last bit of body fat that you have and cannibalizes the tissue that takes the most energy to maintain -- MUSCLE. So you're actually doing more harm than good. No one wants to lose weight and keep all that extra flab!

First order of business: Stop the starvation diet. Second thing you need to do is get your diet in order. Number three is getting exercise into your daily regimen.

Here are a few tips:

1. You MUST exercise if you want to lose weight and keep it off, so do something every day, even if it’s just a 15-minute walk around the neighborhood. Don’t say you don’t have time for exercise; you have to MAKE time. Yes, it takes time and effort, but you’re worth it, right?

2. Walk as much as you want, but don’t do cardio for more than 40 minutes at a time. If you do, you risk burning muscle instead of fat.

3. If you do strength training, use light weights and do lots of repetitions. That’ll really help you “tone up.�

4. Your diet will make you or break you. You have probably learned bad eating habits over time (most people do). That’s not your fault, but now you have to deal with it. Make a commitment to yourself to unlearn those bad habits and re-learn better habits.

5. Eat breakfast every day within an hour of getting up. People who don’t are 450% more likely to be overweight.

6. Eat six small meals or snacks per day instead of three squares per day or one big meal per day. Your body expends energy digesting your food, so eating smaller portions more often keeps your metabolism running high because you’re constantly digesting food.

7. Avoid these as much as possible:

-- Trans fat (any type of partially or fully hydrogenated oil)
-- High fructose corn syrup (soft drinks are LOADED with it)
-- Fast food
-- Junk food
-- White sugar, white flour, white rice, white potatoes
-- The deadly C’s (cookies, cakes, candy, chips, cola)

8. Build your diet around these trim-body-friendly foods:

-- Nuts, any kind (almonds are best)
-- Beans/Legumes
-- Fresh vegetables (green is GREAT!!!)
-- Dairy products (as long as they’re low-fat or non-fat)
-- Eggs
-- Lean meats (fish and poultry top the list)
-- Olive oil
-- Whole grain breads/cereals/pasta
-- Fresh fruits (anything that ends in “berry� is a winner)
-- Tea (Green Tea or black pekoe tea)
-- Cold water or ice water (your body has to expend extra calories to heat it up)

9. Desserts and treats are the exception, not the rule. Having said that, however, (1) you can have a couple of pieces of chocolate every day – just don’t overdo, and (2) Allow yourself one “cheat meal� every week where you eat and drink whatever you want as long as you don’t gorge yourself. That’ll help keep you from feeling deprived and it’ll make it easier to stick with your new healthy eating plan.

Eating 200 calories a day is harmful. Your body needs at least 1200 calories a day but not in one sitting.

I would talk to your doctor about the weight issue. He or she will give you some advice on what to do with your weight. If your weight is problematic, he/she will refer you to a nutritionist.

no no no no no!!!! 200cals? thats a sign of an eating disorder.
your metabolism will also slow down.. and when you do eat say 800cals, you WILL gain weight.. trust me sweetie. been there done that.. and the result isn't pretty.

if you really want to diet.. please eat at LEAST 800cals per day. the recommended is 1200cals.. but 1000cals is also good. you need an adequate amount of protein each day or your hair will start falling out! dry Skin.. abnormal liver function.. dizzy spells. yea i was obsessed with losing weight when i was a few years young in my freshmen year of high school but now i know better than to do that! take my advice and try to change your eating habits. boost up your calorie intake for the day.. eat lots of fruits, veggies, and protein. Soy burgers are a good source of protein and they're low in fat. no they're not as disgusting as most people think just because they're made out of Soy.
