Is high blood sugar of different substance in the body than table sugar?
If so, what is it made of?

Table sugar turns into glucose when digested so does just about everything you eat except for protein and lettus. Table sugar comes from sugar cane. High blood sugar comes from food consumption and the bodies lack of releasing enough insulin to remove it. Hope this helped clarify the question and did not confuse you as some of the answers did to me.

your question makes no sense.

High blood sugar refers to the concentration (amount of) sugar in the blood. The food consumed has been broken down through a series of chemical reactions into the bare essentials: minerals, simple fats, amino acids, and monosacarides (simple sugars).
Table sugar is a disacarride, made up of monosacarides. So, the sugar in the blood and the sugar you use to sweeten your cookies is essential the same thing on a chemical level.

However, blood with a high concentration of sugar doesn't generally taste very sweet, and it would not be an effective sweetener (should you ever want to try). Additionally, although the chemical compisition is the same by the time it gets to your cells, sugars (carbohydrates is the technical, chemical name for this group) are better consumed in more complex froms like brown rice and beans or sweet potatoes than in the sugar form like candy.

I'm not quite sure I understand what your question is. But, if you are saying is the "high blood sugar" in your blood different than table sugar, than the answer is yes. Although, table sugar can also cause the high blood sugar in the blood of a diabetic.

blood sugar is glucose table sugar isn't glucose

table sugar is sucrose and blood sugar is glucose

yes it is made from glucose

When referring to blood sugar it is called Glucose. Your body breaks down "sugar" and stores it for energy, which is the glucose.

The american hertiage dictionary defines it as: A monosaccharide sugar, C6H12O6, occurring widely in most plant and animal tissue. It is the principal circulating sugar in the blood and the major energy source of the body.

Wikipedia defines monosaccharide sugar as:Monosaccharides are the simplest form of carbohydrates. They consist of one sugar and are usually colorless, water-soluble, crystalline solids. Some monosaccharides have a sweet taste. Examples of monosaccharides include glucose (Dextrose), fructose, galactose, and ribose.

Monosaccharides are the building blocks of disaccharides like sucrose (common sugar) and polysaccharides (such as cellulose and starch). Further, each carbon atom that supports a hydroxyl group (except for the first and last) is chiral, giving rise to a number of isomeric forms all with the same chemical formula. For instance, galactose and glucose are both aldohexoses, but they have different chemical and physical properties.

I hope this information help you define table suagr from Glucose. :)

1. Blood Sugar (aka: Glucose) conforms as C6H12O6.
2. Most sugars conform to (CH2O)n - where n is between 3 & 7.
3. Simple sugars have the formula C12H22O11

(the #'s in 2. & 3. are hanging #'s not what they appear on my answer- therefor has a idifferent meaning)

Sugar is what we use as food... Glucose is what is used as energy in the body (common form of sugar problems is Diabetes)
