could be about to start your period or have you missed your period cause sore breast are also a sign of pregnancy

I'm assuming you're quite young. It's not breast cancer.
Unless you feel specific lumps, you don't need to get it checked out.

Sometime women who are going through puberty (as i'm assuming you are) have times where their breasts are very tender.
Also, in early stages of pregnancy, breasts are extremely tender.

You should see your doctor. You could be sensitive to caffeine. During your cycle, caffeine has been known to cause knots in the breast, make them swell and be tender. See you doctor to certain.

I have to disagree with most of the other answers. It depends on many factors, and it is not likely that you have breast cancer, but breast cancer CAN be painful.

I am living proof of this because I had breast cancer twice. Both times I had small, painful lumps.

It really depends on the type of pain you are having. Is it cyclical, meaning does it come and go each month? Or is it constant? Is it in one spot or does it move around?

In any case, although it is probably not cancer, you should get it checked out and have a baseline clinical breast exam.

I dont think it is breast cancer first of all are you having or getting close to you period? that will do it . Also if you are pregnant that is a symptom also but you dont want to let it go either so I have sent the symptoms of breast cancer. See your doctor if this persists & put your mind at ease...

Breast cancer can cause changes that women should watch for these symptoms:

A change in how the breast or nipple feels
A lump or thickening in or near the breast or in the underarm area
Nipple tenderness
A change in how the breast or nipple looks
A change in the size or shape of the breast
The nipple is turned inward into the breast
The skin of the breast, areola, or nipple may be scaly, red, or swollen. It may have ridges or pitting so that it looks like the skin of an orange.
Nipple discharge (fluid)
Although early breast cancer usually does not cause pain, a woman should see her health care provider about breast pain or any other symptom that does not go away. Most often, these symptoms are not cancer, but it is important to check with the health care provider so that any problems can be diagnosed and treated as early as possible.

Regular breast examination could help you. Pain per se without the other signs or symptoms particularly presence of lumps or mass, dimpling of skin or orange like appearance, weight loss, nonhealing lesion, abnormal discharges among others.
But to be sure consult your doctor. Its better to know the truth than to suffer psychologically and mentally when the truth is you might not have any cancer. Truth set you free. Be brave, early diagnosis could do a lot and you can be cured with proper diagnosis and treatment.

NO! Maybe you are going to get your period, your breasts get sore during that time of the month.

Could be time for your menstrual cycle....

I would like to assure u that having breast cancer is not related to breast hurting.but there r many other signs like differances in ur skin colour, nipple colour of any coloured secretions and many other things.I think u would also know that women with breat cancer usually discover it by those signs I told u and not breast aches.
so after assuring u I would tell u with high probability what u r going through because a friend of mine experienced.
usually when there is high progistrone level it causes pain in the breast like it's the case before periods when u r body has the highest progistrone level of all the months.
and sometimes there might be a hormonal disorder and the progistrone increases very very high leading to pain in the breast even if it's not period time.
my friend went to a doctor and was given pills to decrease progistrone level.so don't worry
