Do cheaper laundry detergents cause more allergic reactions?

I am not sure about the allergys. My family luckly doesnt have that problem. But, from 10 years of trying the cheaps ones, I have learned that paying that extra few dollars is worth it, When I do use cheaper detergents I have to wash them twice sometimes if they have stains.. So, it seems cheaper to me to just buy the good detergent the first time.

possibly if you are already prone to allergies... however, sometimes generic brands could be missing an allergen. you need to figure out what the ingredient is that you should avoid to know which ones could cause you problems.

It depends on what is in the detergent. I itch like a monkey if I use detergents with those "fresh" scents. I found the cheapest is Purex Free. Also All Free doesn't make me itch but it is a bit more expensive.

not nessicarily. it depends more on whats in them, and sometimes certain smells cause certain reactions in people, like flowers or something. it probably doesnt matter the price or whether its store or name brand if you just get the original unscented kind.

Yea. You can break out on some of the stuff. Itches.

You will also find that the cheap detergent will dull the color of your clothing and do a poor job on cleaning. Give up. Get Tide.
