Ive heard of this before, If you have a cold or anything like that (it might just be the time of the year...) There are little tubes under your ears, and if they are infected they can swell and stick out, and almost make you think it is a pimple.
The doctor should just put you on some steriods or antibiotics, but if it doesnt go away for a while just stop by the doctor! |

Swollen lymph node. Wait a week and see if it goes away on its own. When you get an infection, your lymph nodes try to fend them off, causing them to become inflamed. You could have just picked something up at school or work and it will work its way out of your system in a few days. If it persists, you could need antibiotics because it means the infection is too much for the lymph nodes to take care of on their own. You have to go to the doctor for antibiotics.
PS - You have lymph nodes in various places all over your body - under your armpits, around your groin, etc. Don't freak out just because you feel a bump. It's the bodies natural defenses. What do you think we did before we came up with doctors? |

For me, it goes away in about a week or two. If it's there any longer I'd go to the doctor |

It's a pimple or a blister. If it doesn't go away call the doctor. |

It could be that it's cut inside there, and that the lump is making it better...
If you have a LOT of pain then thats what it is - that happened to me.
Go see a doctor. |

It is most likely a gland. You have them all over your body. They swell up sometimes when fighting some sort of sickness - common cold, flu, etc. They're basically like tonsils only all over your body. |

go to the doctor as soon as you can...
it isnt life threatning but you need medication to get rid of it. |

If you haven't had a knock or a slight infection from an earring my suggestion would be to see a doctor. Bumps in this region shouldn't be taken lightly. |

sounds like either a swollen lymph node, or an internal zit. |

It might be an ingrown hair or something. No big deal. It should go away in about a week if it doesn't or if it gets worse go to the doctor. |

It might just be a big bite or a zit. Go to a doctor and check it out but go to 2 doctors because it helps to have a second opinion. |

Don't worry- I've had many of those...most likely something musta irritated your ear (do you wear earrings?), or you got bit by a bug. it should go away in about a week or 2......if it's painful or pussing, see a doctor. Otherwise, if it's just itchy, swollen, or red, you're just fine. |

It sounds like an inflamed lymph node. If it gets bigger, then it would probably a blocked salivary duct (Parotid gland) |
