Well did you have an STD before because why else would you have any symptoms? Anyway, you can go to a free clinic in your area most towns have them, you can call the hospital and they will have the number, they will test you for everything, and it should be free or not cost too much. They should have your results within a week or two. |

if you have insurance it should cover the testing with your primary doctor. being 18, you're an adult and you can go alone. test results normally take 2 or 3 business days.. |

If you go to your local gum clinic then you can be tested for free and it is totally confidential so your mom wont know, but try to keep her clued in, as you may need her support depending on your results.
They will test you for all sti's and it doesnt matter whether you have symptoms or not.
Google gum clinic and your city, plenty should come up :)
Good Luck |

Yes, health departments specialize in this type of thing. First off, you are 18 you don't need your mom to take you. Next, the health department will only charge you if you have income. If you are a student, no income it is free. Just tell them you think you might have an STd and they will check everything. Call and make an appointment. |

You can go to your local Health Department or Planned Parenthood for testing. It may take a few days to a few weeks to get results back. |

You can go to the health dept. if it needs to be free. You can test yourself using a kit from the drugstore, but you have to pay for it of course. If you think you have been exposed then you have to get tested. You can go 10 yrs with no symptoms with HIV |

Go to your local planned parent hood.
And your 18 years old. Your an adult. You don't need your mother to take you and fill out your paper work or talk to the doctor for you. You can do it yourself. |

Because you are 18 you are legal to enter a hospital or any clinic and request any medical test to be done.
If you go online you can search local places in your area that do free testing. A good place i went to to get me and my partner tested was my local planned parenthood.
Usually results take about 2 to 7 days. You can put a rush on the results if you'dd like.
Hope it helps,

If you don't have signs of herpes, they won't test you for it. Ask for HIV screen and STD screen at Planned Parenthood if you are in the states. I don't think they include syphilis, so you might what to ask for that if you've been feeling crazy lately. :-) |

sometimes you can still carry it but the symptoms will go away.
definantly see a doctor. |

Please be aware that most STD testing does not include Herpes. Usually the only way to determine if you have Herpes is if you are having an active outbreak and they do a culture. You can request a blood test for Herpes but many clinics don't test for HSV for a myriad of reasons.
They usually test you for Syphilis when you take an HIV test. For the HIV and Syphilis blood test you will have to sign a consent form. |

You can always get a free STD test. Google local free clinics near you. If you're a student, your student health department or nurse's office will know where you can go. |
