There is nothing bad about smoking marijuana, other than the fact that you inhale smoke. It doesn't kill brain cells, that study was not accurate because the monkeys were suffocated with the smoke so they couldn't breath. And no, you can not get addicted to it physically. It's fine to smoke it. You should be fine with your asthma depending how bad it is.

it makes you much more likely to die at a young age. you seem nice, so please don't do it. you will just be terrible and physical activity is impossible to do. how old are you anyway?

Dave
Are you suicidal? Because smoking anything when you have asthma is suicidal. Please don't even try it. You can just tell your friends you're asthmatic and i'm sure they'll understand.
And it's not all it's cracked up to be anyway. Some people glorify but that's just to rationalize an irrational act.

m.marley16
you will die simply put, the smoke will stay trapped in your lungs and will worse the asthma

Try it once and see how it goes. Getting stoned is something that you gotta try, it's nothing like getting drunk etc. Once you've tried it then you can decide on further action, obviously if it makes you cough worse, stop! It's not that great.

I know a guy who has mild asthma and it didn't affect him. If you want to get stoned for the 1st time, I reccommend you have a lot. Normally, unlike alcohol, it takes a lot for a 1st timer to get totally gaffed.

I am NOT going to tell you it is stupid or illegal to smoke. Answer these questions to yourself.
Have you ever heard that smoking anything is good for your respiratory system? If you are willing to take these kinds of risks with an unknown dose of a drug from an unknown , probably not a regulated or sanitary source, are you certain that advice from strangers on the internet or others who smoke pot have your best interests in mind? Listen to yourself: you said you have asthma and you are a little bit worried. You know you have asthma: how? Was it ever hard for you to breathe? So, why risk damaging the parts of your body that keep you breathing?

sarah
It will probably effect your asthma.

Oh and smoking pot is illegal not to mention it kills brain cells.

REVA M
Smoke, any smoke, can kill you if you're asthmatic. Besides that it's illegal, it's stupid, it's addicting, and it can ruin your life if you get caught. Do you really want to be someone who has a hard time getting a job at McDonalds for something that nearly killed you and because it nearly killed you got you charged with a crime?

Drugs affect people in different ways. What if pot happens to be a trigger for your asthma and you have a horrible asthma attack. Think about how many cons there are to smoking pot, then think about how many pros.

Cannabis has bronchodilator and anti-inflammatory properties. I have friends with asthma, some smoke pot without problems and say it helps their breathing, others don't, saying it makes things worse. Like many other things in life, it's quite individual.

How about some science to help you make a decision?
