Blue Haired Old Lady
Smoke inhalation is not good for asthma. It doesn't matter what kind of smoke.

It doesn't, at least not if you smoke it.

It's been purported that taken orally it can be a broncho-dilator, but studies are few, and probably endorsed by proponents of marijuana legalization.

There are many more effective broncho dilators, including plain old coffee.

Sheltie7
The smoke of marijuana, like that of tobacco, consists of a toxic mixture of gases and particulates, many of which are known to be harmful to the lung. THC, the primary active ingredient in marijuana, causes modest short-term bronchodilation, regular marijuana smoking produces a number of long-term pulmonary consequences, including chronic cough and sputum, and histopathologic evidence of widespread airway inflammation.

The marijuana can make you become very relaxed to a point you just may not recognise how serious your asthma has become and this can be fatal.

It won't. It will only make you laugh and eat too much and not care you have asthma, and may lead to worse things.

It doesn't. For the love of crap don't inhale any smoke if you have asthma. You'll frickin' suffocate.

When consumed orally, the cannabinoids will act as a bronchodialator and open up air-ways, google it there have been plenty of studies.

I can't think of a single way weed would help someone with asthma. If anything it would make it worse. Inhaling anything foreign would hurt them.
