In general homeopathic medicine is good. But it has it's limits, as does modern medicine. I'd rather go with drugs that have been through the FDA process than relying on somebody crushing a plant and not knowing how to control the dose.
Example: if you were to crush and ingest the Foxglove plant it could help your heart disease but taking just a little too much will kill you.
As too pulmonary problems, stick with what the doctor orders.
