Mophine is considered the most effective as a single drug but some people do react badly to it - skin itching; restlessness etc.
There are a lot of opiate painkillers around but it does depend on what you specific pain is. In places where morphine is not avaliable, Tramadol is frequently given post-operatively but paracetamol can also be added into it (Tramacet) to improve the "experience".
Paracetamol remains one of the best known painkillers - people tend to write it off because it is avaliable over the counter but is really effective. |

IT DEPENDS ON WHAT THE PAINKILLER IS FOR, I WOULD SAY THE CO-CODAMOL IS THE STRONGEST, BUT IF IT'S AN ANTI INFLAMMOTORY YOU NEED THEN IBUPROFEN, BUT PLEASE DO NOT TAKE IBUPROFEN IF YOU SUFFER WITH ANYTHING REGARDING YOUR STOMACH AS THIS JUST IRRITATES IT EVEN MORE, TRY BASIS PARECETAMOL WITH CODEINE IN, |

Morphine is known to be the best pain killer - it literally kills if you have too much of it so you have no pain then... |

the effect of a painkiller depends on how correctly it is taken,ie., in a sufficient dose and gap between each intake
paracetamol is safest and effective if taken 500 mgs 4 times a day after meals |

What pain killers work for some others, may not work for you. Also, morphines are usually given as last resort as the symtoms become immune to the treatment. |

Morphine. Only had it once after an op to repair my crushed finger, worked a treat though.
Failing that the power of the mind can be pretty effective. |

Diamorphine when I was in labour was great!! When I have the cold and my joints hurt, I take 4 200mg ibuprofen and red bull and I feel no pain whatsoever, plus I have more energy than ever and no signs of the cold till it wears off! |

Ignore everyone who said morphine, because they're wrong. The last girl is right, it's Fentanyl, which is many times more powerful than morphine and usually only for people who are opioid tolerant. Other forms of fentanyl that are more powerful than standard Fentanyl include Sufentanil, which is used in surgery, and Carfentanil, which is 10,000 times more potent than morphine and only used for large animals. |

Dia-morphine is the best. It's VERY powerful. |

The strongest and most effective pain killer is enthusiasm and endorphin working in combination and concurrently. |

Rainbow it looks like the morphine has it. Personally for me its a mixture. Morphine does not always do the trick. Its a combo of Norco, flexeril and morphine. Sometimes that doesn't even work. But for the normal pains the morphine alone should do it. Many doctors prefer to give vicodine. It really depends on what it is being used for. |

you said it dosen"t have to be legal so heroin has to be the answer , although i wouldn"t say try it . legally, has to be oxycontin, take care |

in the hospital they will give morphine with a dose of of phenergan, the phenergan will intensify the morphine without the respiratory depression that you get from higher doses of just morphine |

I think it would have to be the Fentanyl patch. It is 100 times stronger than morphine and you just stick the patch on and leave it on for 2 or 3 days and walla!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO pain or almost no pain. |
