Why is my eye twitching? ?
My eye is twitching for no reason.
It's not even my eye. Its right under my eye.
It just keeps twitching.
I cant stop it.
It goes for a minute thens it stops. Then it starts again.
What can I do to stop it? And why is it happening?

because the chicken crossed the road to the other side.

Causes of Eye Twitching
There are various causes of eye twitching in its serious and not so serious formats. The more common causes for eye twitching include:

Corneal irritation or injury

maybe it's high blood pressure?
Something like that happened to me, and I was told that it's probably high blood pressure.

Could be a magnesium deficiency. There is plenty of magnesium in nuts.

stress, or something is bothering you, maybe even subconciously

Cuttie pie
just lyke the first person answered, you need to eat and rest!!! it happens to me wen im tired or hungry or both

i get that sometimes. its annoying! its probably from not getting enough sleep!

I sometimes get the same thing. I'm not a doctor, but I think you'll be fine. Stress is usually what triggers mine or vision problems. Have you had your eyes checked recently? Going without glasses or prescription lenses can sometimes trigger eye movement. How's life treating you? Make some adjustments if your stress level has been increased. If the problem persists, worsens or for your own mind; visit a doctor.

my toe does that.

its probably a bit of dust
hold your eyelash and cough heavily a few times
this should get rid of it

works for me

cuz you are crazy !!!

lack of sleep

It is from over use, have you been reading or studying a lot? I used to get those all the time when I went to college, during finals. Try to rest your eyes if you can but it will go away eventually, just is annoying is all

It's due to stress and mostly lack of sleep. I've been getting this a lot lately and it's after I've worked a 13hr shift at work and only get 3-4hrs of sleep the next day and have to go back that same night to work again.

Because you're supernatural.

It's nothing to freak over. It happens sometimes.

I think it means something spiritual.

this same thing is happening to me, i just try to get some sleep or get away from computer or tv for a while

It's just a muscle spasm. They happen, nothing to worry about. Same thing happens to me randomly. In addition to under my eye, I've had my arm muscle do that as well.

It is called fasciculations.
The eyelid is the most common place to get it, and most people get it at least once in their life. you can read more about it here.

Inadequate magnesium intake can cause fasciculations, especially after a magnesium loss due to severe diarrhea. Over-exertion is another risk factor for magnesium loss. As much as 80% of the population does not get the recommended daily amount of magnesium,[citation needed] this may be a common cause. Treatment is with supplements or increased intake of foods rich in magnesium, especially almonds & other nuts, and bananas. Ironically, magnesium supplements may result in diarrhea and more magnesium loss, so dosage and timing (i.e. with meals) are important.

Fasciculation also often occurs during a rest period after sustained stress, such as that brought on by unconsciously tense muscles. Reducing stress and anxiety is therefore another useful treatment.**
