If you are primarly far sited then it shouldn't hurt you.

Sarah
No i do that i have started to hate wearing specs lol so i only put them on when i need to

disguise
uhm.. yeah. i think it does. if you really don't want to wear glasses, don't take it off. trust me. it can get worse. you must use it regularly so that your eyes will adjust. i had glasses once but my eyes adjusted, now i don't have to wear any glasses.

you may also wear contacts if you like but its really expensive.

As long as their not reading glasses its ok. I know what you mean, the rims get in the way and its annoying. Make sure you put them back on when you actually need the stupid things.. hhehee.

Mirandaanda
u need them on all the time, little by little your eyesight will get worse and u might need thicker glasses or something like that. id suggest getting contacts, theyre way better but they take awhile to get used to, but its way worth it. i used to be like u now my eyes are pretty bad, but i did it 4 like 4 or so years....
get contacts!

it can be bad. I know my optometrist told me to just wear them when watching TV and in school when i first got glasses, but a couple years later, he told me I'd have to start wearing them all the time to keep my eyesight from 'declining' .
so i think it depends on the person, ask you optometrist.

I personally think you should wear glasses when ever you need it.. If you don't put on your glasses just because you don't like wearing them then you would be very foolish. Not using your glasses will strain your eyes and it will turn out to be even more difficult to see. If you don't like glasses then I recommend that you get contacts. But until you get contacts you should keep on your glasses! =)

no, i think challenging your eye site will improve it, and if you realy don't like glasses you can always try contacts

Nah, you should be just fine. So long as you can see without your glasses.

Emily Kelly
no thats pretty normal. thats what i do. but if you get headaches or eye aches without your glasses you should wear them all the time.

A M
Not not really but people who wear glasses should wear them to see so they do not strain their eye sight.

Dont worry hunnie, i do that i hate wearing them i feel stupid but its the best way to get around it,
its fine.

queenvic17
well yes you are hurting your eyes and when i didn't wear my glasses a lot, my eyes would become worse and i would need a new prescription constantly wear you glasses all the time or get contacts i am 12 and have had my contacts for 3 years.

hey, i used to have glasses and i hated to wear them so i got contacts if you are supposed to wear you glasses all the time this is something to try. Contacts are awesome, they might be a little bit more expensive but for me they were defiantly worth it.

I'm nearsided so I'm probably suppose to wear my glasses all the time but I don't. I do the same thing you do. It won't hurt your eyes it just gives you lack of site like blur, but I'm sure you're fine. If you're driving I'm sure it would be smart to wear glasses.

You can always get contacts (I'm 13) and my mom won't let me get them because my eyes are still developing.

Didn't you just ask this question.. hehe

carin b
If you're nearsighted, then possibly. Depending on how bad your eyesight is, not wearing your glasses could cause dizziness and headaches. Nothing to sesrious, but it's not comfortable.
If you're farsighted, no problem.
If your glasses bother you, maybe you should consider getting contacts. Or get another style that looks better on you.

jonjac
If you are 20/200 without lenses you must be myopic (nearsighted.)
If you are myopic you probably don't need lenses for study.
Take them off for study and wear them for distance.

no, in fact some studies say that not wearing your glasses can improve vision as long as you dont strain them.

NO. Not at all. Othereise if you need to wear them all the time, then get contact lenses. That way, nobody would know that you are using glasses t oenhance your vision.
