oooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhh i want colored halloween contacts too! they're perfectly safe if you get the soft kind, and they last for awhile, but you have to replace them after that. but get temporary ones if they're just for halloween |

I would wait till halloween. It's a lil late. And hes 12 years old, I don't know how they are,but i seen them and heard of them. Although i never heard anything bad of them yet, I will would wait because those things are just calling for attension. That's my opp. But you sound like a good father, I'm sure you will make the right choice. =) |

They're safe if you get them from a reputable company, I'd imagine. Some of the more ornate ones, however, are sure to be rather thick and probably uncomfortable. |

if they're for Halloween only, then NO..they aren't safe for daily wear. If they're prescription, yes, if they're cleaned and stored properly every night. You son could lose his sight from an infection or scratching of his EYES lenses if you let him wear contacts that aren't made for him or daily wear. |

There have been eye infections and corneal ulcers. These things come from China or Mexico, are sold at convenience stores in some areas, and as such, are subject to the "quality control" you would expect from a 99 cent toy from Everything's a dollar.
Please no. For his sake. |

well...i have tried them and they are safe, but i would suggest asking your eye doctor first. they last for about a month if you do not sleep with them in. |

Here's a site that can give a little background info on colored contacts. The major issue is making sure they are from a well known manufacturer. Like Acuvue. I believe they sell colored contacts without a prescription.

its not safe cause he can get an infection and plus his to young to be wearing contacts right now.... and if he had a prescription for having contacts they don't make any with figures or halloween stuff its only clear and colored once not Halloween if i was him i would wait a few more years |

Well they can last for a long time. And yes they are safe, they are like colored contacts. But he must take them out everynight. You should see an Optomatrist for contact lense instructions if he has never worn them, because without proper care, you can scratch your eye or get an infection. Also you need to keep them in clean solution in a contact case every night. |
