Do I need to wash my contact lens case?
I have daily disposables, and I haven't used my case in two weeks. I want to use it tomorrow for a short time. Do I need to wash the case before putting in fresh solution?

Judi S
You should actually replace your contact lens case as often as your toothbrush. You should wash it in warm, soapy water once a month and replace it every 3-6 months. Unless you want an eye infection.

You don't have to clean out the case, but of course it would be more hygenic and be safer at protecting against an eye infection.

yes you will need to rinse the case with the solution you have

yes you should just rinse with warm water just in case
you don't want to get anything thing that was left over in
your eyes.

yes it will be better. you don't have to, but its safer to wash it.

good point. i would.

Yes. Dump out the old solution. Put new solution in, swirl it around and dump it out. Then, fill the case with fresh solution.

You might want to so you don't get anything else dirty. I would If I were you.

Yes, you need to wash the case. Use actual soap & let the case air dry. If you're going to use the case right away, wash it with soap, rinse it very well, & then use multipurpose solution to soak your contacts.

For less than a cup of brewed coffee at Starbucks, you could just pull another pair of disposables and then not have to worry about an infection! I'm just sayin'...

You should boil your contact lens cases at least once a month. putting it in a microwave will help as well, it can sterilize the case, you can put it in a microwaveable dish with water for five mins. Replaced your cases as well after four months of use.

You may also check this website, http://www.cococontacts.com/faq.php , to get more information on how to properly take care of your lenses. I buy my lenses from them as well.

Yes, you need to wash your contact lenses. If you don't do this, then your contact lens might infect your eyes or might not be clean.
