Would you be in the hospital long if you shot yourself in the foot with a rifle?
Okay my friend supposedly shot their foot by accident with a rifle and supposedly tore all of there ligaments in there foot...Would that person be released in less than one day to go home? It happened sunday at 1am and was talking to me already on monday from home....
Additional Details
she is a girl not a guy

what a retard, who shot themselfs in the foot?

Ashley H
yes. It's a bad painful experience, but not too much they can do past patch him up at the hospital. He probably spent a good long while in the emergency room and unless surgery was needed, he was probably released.

LMAO no way he is a liar....unless he shot and it just skinned him but if it tore all the ligaments in his foot he would be in so much pain he'd either be knocked out or crying.....Maybe you should go for a visit and see for youself.....

They will release them as soon as surgery is done

srhbug
It probaboly depends on what kind of rifle they shot themself with. If it were an Ar-15 - it could be quite a long time, especialy if the wound became infected. Or it could just be an overnight thing. I had MAJOR reconstructive knee surgery - had bone taken from my hip and screwed into my knee ( and a couple of broken screws from a prior surgery removed) and only spend one night in the hospital. Due to insurance company polices hospitals are really in the business of getting people in and getting htem out - which is a TOTALLY bed thing as the risk of infection in a hospital versus at home is MUCH greater!

kyle
i suppose it would depend on the caliber of the rifle.

dail d
Consider your friend lucky. She could have hit a main nerve that could have killed herself. So stop experimenting with guns!

Someone
it really deppends on how bad it was and like other people said if it gets infected, they could probably get him out within one day with a cast on or something

Sara G
yeah

EVANS HERE YAY!!! WHAT A BIG GUY
they may have released him depends on the injury. he would not be walking in it. go see him and see how the foot looks

These days, it depends on whether you have insurance or not. It wouldn't be any different than a one-day surgery, so I don't see why you couldn't go home.

bjork_fan339
suicide watch!!

Ben
nahhh

J B
yes its possible...my brother in law completly destroyed his knee dirtbiking and he went in the emergency room and was out in a few hours....he had to go back a week later for surgery once the swelling went down....so its probably true and they will likely have to go back to have surgery depending how bad they are

Chantilly
quite possibly. Dependson how bad the damage is... they may have just put it in a cast & sent them home....why dont you go visit them & find out yourself.

They would send you to the psych ward for evaluation

rallyk420
depends on the damage but i doubt it

Missing U
not that long, unless you had major bleeding. that person would probably be released in less than 1 day, if not the very next day.

Dirty D
It's very possible depending on how much surgery needed done and how many patients were ahead. Hospital emergency rooms pretty much treat patients depending on priority like seriousness of injury or illness.

You are hustled out the door ASAP from hospitals nowadays for whatever. Insurers don't want to spend a penny more than necessary and hospitals want to get paid.

Jen G
Yes, that is certainly possible. The hospital is not going to keep her longer than they have to and a shot to the foot certainly is not life threatening. That would be similar to an "out patient" surgery where one is not actually admitted into the hospital - just given the quick procedure and sent home.

spencerskool94
they would get a cast and have a wheel chair so i would say one day

GBlank1390
depends on where you got shot and wether it gets infected

No less than a day.

wise guy
of course

Even if it required surgery to repair the damage, they could still be out in a day or so. They don't keep you in for foot injuries. They will just fix it, wrap it up and send you on your way.

A guy at a place I was consulting at got his heel completely torn off to the bone by a forklift and they just stitched him back up and sent him home the same day with some good drugs. He was out of work for 8 weeks but he was out of the hospital the same day.
