some people are just prone to it more than others. 3 times in the last 2 years is not really a cause for concern. i used to get bad tonsillitis and throat problems every couple of months which was sorted by getting my tonsils out. i think in order for that to happen you have to have these throat problems frequently.
try maintain a healthy diet and take vitamin supplements (especially immune boosting ones) and that may help. |

This goes without saying, but wash your hands often especially before you eat. Also keep your hands out of your mouth, nose, and eyes. |

I used to get strep throat very frequently. Does it run in your family? My dad used to get it when he was young also. I guess you just have to bare with it. Make sure your eating a healthy diet and exercising and drinking plenty of water. You could also try taking a daily vitamin and plenty of vitamin C. I don't think you can prevent it, but in time it will probably slow down. I haven't had strep throat in about 5 years, but I used to get it at least once a year. |
