Yeah, I agree. Getting off the computer would help. And you "burnt" your hand. Not "burned."
And, you should go to the doctor. They will put a local anesthetic and a antibiotic on it.
If it's too late to go to the doctor, which I'm assuming since you are talking about going to bed...you should take a tylenol. Honestly, that's the only thing you can really do.
If you take an advil, that will counter against swelling, but do not take both advil and tylenol at the same time. |

you don't have any kind of spray or ointment for burns. I see you forgot something at the store. Well you can put butter on burns, Noxzema, or sunburn lotion. |

Here are some first-aid suggestions from the web- hope at least one of them helps. Hopefully, it is only a 1st degree burn, in which time will be the best healer.
http://www.survival-center.com/firstaid/burns.htm
http://kidshealth.org/parent/firstaid_safe/emergencies/burns.html This one is good, but you have to scroll down a bit to get to the treatment part.
http://firstaid.about.com/od/injuriesathome/ht/06_burns.htm All you never wanted to know about burns and then some.. plus a gruesome picture to boot!
DO NOT put butter or oil on the burn, as that will make the pain worse!
I wish you a speedy recovery! |

run your hand under cool water for 10 minutes or more, don't use ice, ice just damages the skin cells further. i have found that even lukewarm water helps a bit. take a lot of ibuprofen (make sure you find out what is a safe amount to take). if you have a prescription painkiller, use that, it will work. no more than 15mg of morphine and you will be out like a light and not care about the pain. three 5/500 vicodin also works well. also, it is recommended that you visit a hospital for a second degree burn or third. second degree burn is usually characterized by blistering of the skin. youll know what a third degree burn looks like. |

take one cup and fill it up with vegetable oil or motor oil, put your burned fingers inside and leave them inside for 5-10 minutes, after remove your fingers and don't wipe the oil, instead cover them with something, and leave it like that for 30 min, if after 30 min. you still feel pain repeat the same thing over again, and this works 1000%, and don't leave no burning marks...... |

The best thing to do to kick off the pain is..... put some toothpaste on burnt area od your hand ,it will help with itching feelings after burn and leave it as it is for a while or put some vinegar on the burnt part ,it ll lower the pain and wont let it go worse ,also may reduce pain to some degree |

I burnt myself severly a few months back. You need to go hospital and have them check it out. For now, take motrin for the pain and put a topical antibiotic on the wound (neosporin). Your doctor will probably prescribe something stronger and have you change the dressing daily until it completly heals. My arm was wrapped for 3 weeks and I now have a pretty large scar. Please get it looked at, you can get infections from burns. |
