There are a number of things that work. Usually more than sleep is required. I find myself having to use sleep aids to get my full eight hours. In addition to that I will use cucumbers. Now those work!

Really will only work to a degree...if you are sleep deprived, your looks will eventually pay for it, but if you are getting a normal amount of sleep for your body (6-12 hrs depending on the person) then no. If you have bags under your eyes, there ARE some other things you can try: tea bags or cucumber slices resting in closed eyes for 10 min, concealer (one shade lighter than your usual foundation), and believe it or not, one of the BEST solutions is hemorrhoid cream! I know that sounds nasty, but it will work.

Absolutely...it works. Since "beauty is as beauty does", having a good night's sleep can make a person able to focus on the day's activities and do a better job at work, being a friend, or whatever. And I looked up the problem with bags under the eyes on www.mothernature.com...here's a quote:

"Generally, you can trace early-morning puffiness to your activities of the previous day: You drank fluids at bedtime, ate salty foods, spent all day with your head bent over a garden or stayed up half the night, says Dr. Stefanyszyn. The worst of the swelling subsides a few hours after rising as the fluid is re-absorbed by your body.

You may also have puffy eyes as part of an allergic reaction—from eating strawberries, for example, or from sleeping on feather pillows. Hormonal changes during menstruation can puff up eyes, too."

Also...here is something to try: Slice up a cucumber and keep the slices in a jar of cold water in the fridge. When you notice bags under your eyes, just lie down with a slice over each eye area. It should help a lot, and it's cheap.

Additionally, the last time I was in America, I noticed a product (I think it may be made by PONDS...but I could be wrong) on sale everywhere. There are pictures of cucumbers on the jar...and each pad is a cute little "slice of cucumber"...obviously, this is more expensive, but it is cute.

yes, but it depends not on how much time you sleep, but in the quality of your sleep

yes, its does beacuse then your face looks and feels great and you don't look tired.

Make sure you got ENOUGH hours of sleep not like 5 or 6. If you are still tired it probably mean you did a lot of things on the previous day and or you had not a lot of hours of sleep.

Why don't you just try it for yourself and see the results. At least 6 hours of uninterrupting sleep. Wake up, stretch yourself, take a refreshing shower; the result, fresh mind, fresh state of body. Don't skip breakfast and drink lotsa water when you wake up. Helps with the early metabolism. Try it and, also, listen to good soothing music in the morning. when you sleep, your body repairs itself, it cleans itself, and rests all the muscles you use throughout the day. your baggy eye problem can probably eliminated by sleeping the same amount of time each night, I reccomend a full 8 hrs.

It could just be fluid pooling in your face because for several hours your head is lower in relation to the rest of your body than it usually is, similar to how your face goes red when you hang upside down. I am willing to bet that the puffiness goes down after a few hours of being awake.

Sure. Getting the proper amount of sleep will make anyone look better than being all tired out. If you're an unattractive person, it's not going to turn you into a beauty though.

Getting a good night's sleep is as important as eating a proper healthy diet and exercising to keep a beautiful figure. Because a good nights sleep not only makes your skin look beautiful and fresh but it also helps you concentrate in your work and keeps your brain more alert. Though in a busy lifestyle we always try to sacrifice sleep for work but it is very important that you set aside enough hours for some good old-fashioned beauty sleep. The average adult needs seven to eight hours of sleep, while infants need 16 hours of sleep, and teenagers need about nine hours.

Scientists believe that sleep gives our bodies the chance to maintain and repair our bodies and minds. Each night we cycle through three stages of sleep ranging from light sleep to deep sleep, and finally, to rapid eye movement (REM) sleep. A complete sleep cycle takes 90 to 110 minutes on average. While we sleep our brains are using important neuronal connections that might otherwise deteriorate from lack of activity. During deep sleep, brain activity that control emotions, decision-making processes, and social interaction shuts down, allowing us to maintain optimal emotional and social functioning when we are awake. Cell growth and cell repair takes place to combat the affects of stress and UV rays in this stage as well. Hence, deep sleep can truly be called beauty sleep. Sleep also helps our bodies fight infection. This is because our immune system releases a sleep-inducing chemical while fighting a cold or an infection. Sleep helps the body conserve energy and other resources that the immune system needs to mount an effective attack.

Lack of sleep affects our nervous systems by leaving us drowsy and unable to concentrate. Not getting enough sleep also leads to poor memory and physical performance. If sleep deprivation continues, hallucinations and mood swings may develop. In the same vein, sleeping problems are common in both mental and physical disorders including depression and schizophrenia, Alzheimer's disease, stroke, cancer, and head injuries.
