which is the good food for health vegetarian or non vegetarian?

No big debate is warranted.
Look at the body design.
An engine designed for petrol, struggles when we mix or add diesel or kerosine (look at those autorickshaws in Indian cities!).
Human body, teeth, digestive canal, its length etc are designed, and work at peak levels if we feed vegetarian food (that too in raw form as much as possible).
The problem is, the magnificience of the 'design' of human body itself!
It can take a lot of abuse! It 'manages' any garbage for quite a long time! Cooked meat, lots of smoke, drugs, lots of alcohol, sugar products, etc etc. We do end up paying heavily, not heeding to its warnings from time to time.
Exception: INVARIABLY, those rare humans, who HAPPEN to pursue the HIGHEST possibility for a human, NECESSARILY respect this bodily design, and desist from food not meant for humans. Look at spiritual masters, yogis, etc etc.

Look my dear, one who knows the best answer is God.
God gave us teeth some of which resemble the teeth of carnivorous animals and others resemble that of herbivorous animals.
Our digestive system can digest both veg and non-veg food, that means God wants us to eat omnivorous.
Point no. 3, God says in His book The Quran that we can eat non-veg food with some exeptions that are mentioned inthere.

Balanced vegetarian food containing - proteins, fat, minerals, green leafy vegetables, seasonal fruits , carbohydrates and vitamins.

Baby Z
It is not the meat alone or the beans alone that decides your health. Your body needs protein, carbohydrate, minerals, fat etc. Look for foods that contain all these. Both vegetables and non vegetables contain most of it. Which one gives you a hearty, tasty, satisfying dinner? Choose. Don't fight over the two.

People who live in the deserts and forests find it easier to get meat and milk products regularly than veg products. If they are firm on veg only they will eventually die. So the essence of all these is to eat and be strong for a hard work today.

I think both. but more of veg & less of non-veg is good for health

Gaurav K
hi.....i think both are good for health. But in some aspects vegetarian is better than non veg.Vegetarian food consists of a diet which excludes any type of animal flesh. A non vegetarian food consists of a diet that includes animal flesh.

If we consider factors like health issues, physical development, mental development and environmental reasons, certainly we can find a lot of differences between vegetarian food and non vegetarian food. Ethical and religious reasons are other factors that go deep and opine great many differences.

If we consider diet in a medical point of view both diets are important for the development of our over all health.
some points are......
1.Vegetarian food is called as ‘nature’s food’ where as non veg is considered as against nature.
2.Veg food calms our mind and body and decreases the chances of major diseases where as non veg foods rich in fats invite all types of fatal diseases such as heart diseases and some cancers.
3.Many studies have proved that a proper vegetarian diet satisfies all the nutritional requirements of all stages of our life where this not possible by non veg foods.
After all it is scientifically proved that vegetarian foods are far better option than non veg and this statement points out a lot of differences between vegetarian diet and non veg diet.

vegetarian food is good for health

For Vegetarian :- Green leaves,Papaya, pumpkin,Rice,Fruit like Bananna, guva thats it.& always try to oily food

Non - Vegetarian :- Mutton, chiken (in small quantity & once in a week)
veg or chicken soup. jucie,Egg,then for Bengalies u must take small fish.& with all this must consult with doctors.

Veg is always good and safe food. It also helps preserve the nature's balance.

from my point of view veg.food is best 4 health

Syed I
Both veg and NV food are good. But frequent intake of NV foods will lead to some other problems.

Nature has given specification to each human being in this world. The vegetarian animals are having big intestine. On the contrary, the non-vegetarians are having small intestine. Further, the animals who drinks water with lips are vegetarian by nature. Say for example, goat, cow, horse, donkey, etc. The animals who drink water with tonge are non-vegetarian by nature. In animals vegetarian animals never go for non vegetarian food.
In this context human being is vegetarian by nature. The nature has created the structure of body as per this rule. Whenever vegetarian food eater start eating non vegetarian food it takes longer period for such food to digest & the waste of such food takes long time to come out of stomuch resulting production of gases in the stomuch as it takes long period for coming out of intestine due to longer length. If you study this properly by nature we are vegetarian & we should not eat non vegetarian food.

according to me... its always non-veg food......it gives you more protein and it is mostly accompanied with vegetables as well. But the non-veg food items should not be overcooked or contain excessive oil....that is what makes it a bulky , fat containing food. Boiled or baked is more preferable than fried.

offcourse vegetarian.
but sometimes nonveg doesnot harm.

Veg. because we are made for veg and always safe with vege

dinesh k
it contains more vitamins. but in nonveg its less. fat content is high in non veg.

as long as u r taking adequate quantity of calcium, protien, carbohydrates, iron, essential fats, zinc, vitamins & minerals.in other words a well balanced diet.it does'nt matter it comes frm veg or non veg food. just eat healthy & stay fit.that should b the motto.

Vegetarian is good for health pal... when you take meat, it would take a long time for digestion process. the fat present in the food will take a long time to get converted....
hence fibers present in the vegetables are better than the fat in meat...
three cheers for vegetarianism.....

you learn this from animals. all veg animals looks best over non-veg animals you see elephant giraffe deer camel cow and on and on are what to say over non-veg animals like lion tiger dog etc etc. all vegetarian have a normal B.P. and other-hand non-vegetarian have always high B.P.which is dangerous for health.

vegetaerian food give more energy than non vegetarian food because it gives more enrgy

i think veg food is preferrably more healthy coz as we go higher in the food chain the the amount of the microorganisms increases which can be harmful for our health

Allah made both the things for human being to use it So both are good for health .

vegtarian food is a more healthier one bt if u need more energy then non vegetarian food is better choice

Of course vegetarian food is good for health. because
Human being is by nature is vegetarian . one thing is good for human being that is compatible to his?her nature whether it is a matter of health or anything else...

we dont have teeth's to chew the non vegetarian meat . while these are available in animals. when nature has not given you organs that are necessary to use non vegetarian , then by doing so you are purchasing harm to your mouth your teeths. one harm to your health.

A study in The International Journal of Cancer concluded that red meat is strongly associated with breast cancer.

Vegetarians are also less likely to fall victim to weight-related disorders like heart disease, stroke and diabetes.

And a British study that tracked 6,000 vegetarians and 5,000 meat eaters for 12 years found that vegetarians were 40 percent less likely to die from cancer during that time and 20 percent less likely to die from other diseases.

hence we can say vegetarian food is goog for health.

vegetarian food is good for health.

So before i start...i'd rather ask you to take a mirror in front of you..open your mouth wide open and screw it up nice enough so that you can see your teeth in the front...what do you see?
do you see canines??
well every human being on this earth has canine teeth. have you thought why?
well canines are there to help you eat meat easily...
So when God has given you the canines Himself it means God wants you to have non-veg!

Its all about balancing!

"Non-veg only" diet is real bad for your health--lot of cholestrol, fat etc
"Veg only" diet is real bad for your health--yes! because veggies do not have the required proteins that your body should have. And proteins are abundant in meat.

Sooo....include real green leafy veggies in your diet and twice or thrice a week you can gor for meat.
And when i say meat it should preferably be white meat--chicken or fish.(Red meat is real fatty and takes alot of time for digestion. Though occasional red meat is fine!)
Fish is rich with Omega 3 fatty acids which work wonders for your heart!

And for those who think you carry something animal-ish from the animals if we consume them...m really sorry but its never like this.

Remember! Always have the meat from the animals who are "docile" in nature. Never have the meat of wild or poisonous animals. Because their meat is never rich in nutrition that we require and these are hot-blooded animals.

So I hope I answered your question to your satisfaction!

A vegetarian diet provides a variety of proven health benefits. Vegetarians have significantly reduced rates of obesity, coronary heart disease, hypertension, type II diabetes, diet-related cancers, diverticular disease, constipation and gall stones.A vegetarian diet can be a very healthy option but it is important to ensure it is well balanced. You could stuff your face with chips and chocolate at every meal and be vegetarian but you wouldn’t be doing your health much good.
Vegetarianism is a popular choice for many individuals and families. But parents may wonder if kids can safely follow a vegetarian diet and still get all necessary nutrients. Most dietary and medical experts agree that a well-planned vegetarian diet can actually be a very healthy way to eat.
But special care must be taken when serving kids and teens a vegetarian diet, especially if it doesn't include dairy and egg products. And as with any diet, you'll need to understand that the nutritional needs of kids change as they grow.
Types of Vegetarian Diets
Before your child or family switches to a vegetarian diet, it's important to note that all vegetarian diets are not alike. Major vegetarian categories include:
• ovo-vegetarian: eats eggs; no meat
• lacto-ovo vegetarian: eats dairy and egg products; no meat
• lacto-vegetarian: eats dairy products; no eggs or meat
• vegan: eats only food from plant sources
And many other people are semi-vegetarians who have eliminated red meat, but may eat poultry or fish.
The Choice of Vegetarianism
Kids or families may follow a vegetarian diet for a variety of reasons. Younger vegetarians are usually part of a family that eats vegetarian meals for health, cultural, or other reasons. Older kids may decide to become vegetarians because of concern for animals, the environment, or their own health.
In most cases, you shouldn't be alarmed if your child chooses vegetarianism. Discuss what it means and how to implement it, ensuring your child makes healthy and nutritious food choices.
Nutrition for All Ages
Your doctor or a registered dietitian can help you plan and monitor a healthy vegetarian diet. Parents should give their kids a variety of foods that provide enough calories and nutrients to enable them to grow normally.
A well-planned vegetarian diet can meet kids' nutritional needs and has some health benefits. For example, a diet rich in fruits and veggies will be high in fiber and low in fat, factors known to improve cardiovascular health by reducing blood cholesterol and maintaining a healthy weight. However, kids and teens on a vegetarian diet may need to be careful that they get an adequate amount of certain vitamins and minerals.
Here are nutrients that vegetarians should get and some of their best food sources:
• vitamin B12: dairy products, eggs, and vitamin-fortified products, such as cereals, breads, and soy and rice drinks, and nutritional yeast
• vitamin D: milk, vitamin D-fortified orange juice, and other vitamin D-fortified products
• calcium: dairy products, dark green leafy vegetables, broccoli, dried beans, and calcium-fortified products, including orange juice, soy and rice drinks, and cereals
• protein: dairy products, eggs, tofu and other soy products, dried beans, and nuts
• iron: eggs, dried beans, dried fruits, whole grains, leafy green vegetables, and iron-fortified cereals and bread
• zinc: wheat germ, nuts, fortified cereal, dried beans, and pumpkin seeds
Depending on the type of vegetarian diet chosen, kids may miss out on some of these important nutrients if the diet isn't monitored by the parents. The less restrictive the vegetarian diet, the easier it will be for your child to get enough of the necessary nutrients. In some cases, fortified foods or supplements can help meet nutritional needs.
Vegetarian Infants
The main sources of protein and nutrients for infants are breast milk and formula (soy formula for vegan infants), especially in the first 6 months of life. Breastfed infant vegans should receive a source of vitamin B12, if the mother's diet isn't supplemented, and breastfed infants and infants drinking less than 32 ounces (1 liter) formula should get vitamin D supplements.
Guidelines for the introduction of solid foods are the same for vegetarian and nonvegetarian infants. Breastfed infants 6 months and older should receive iron from complementary foods, such as iron-fort

Vegetarian food is better for health because it never was made of any animal's body or so.Then, vegetarian food gives you many health improvements.Non-vegetarian food pollutes human's body with the ingredients of another living being. So,I always prefer vegetarian food for good health, knowledge and happiness.
