I would think she should just increase her daily intake of healthy starches like rice, whole wheat and maybe red meat, tuna, almonds. And occasionally take her out for ice cream and pizza, lol :D |

eating a tub of lard is not only unhealthy, it is exceedingly disgusting. lard apart, she has to eat 2500 cals minimum to gain weight and if she still maintains, she should increase by 250 increments. Some healthy gaining options are nut butters ( PB, almond butter,...), nuts, dried fruits, protein bars,...
You could also check caloriecount.about.com. They have a weight gain forum with menus and weight gain food. I am recovering anorexia and am actively gaining and it is really helpful. |
