sounds like you're doing a great job so far! don't be so concerned about losing a lot of weight in a short amount of time, as this is actually unhealthy for you. on the mayo clinic's website, they recommend losing 1 to 2 pounds per week, as reducing your weight slowly is more healthy and makes it easier to keep the weight off in the long term.

That's TOO much weight to lose in just one month.
Definitely don't try and lose any more next month,, and check you're dieting healthily (still taking foods from all the food groups and exercising).

that is a really good achievment. That means if you stick to what you are doing you can be losing 132 pounds in a year! a GREAT achievement. Just home you are doing this by exercising and not by starving yourself. Also remember to drink allot of water. Losing 11 pounds in a month means dehydration can strike so drink up!

11lb contains 11 x 3500 = 38,500 calories.

You have lost this in approx 31 days, which equates to a loss of

38500 / 31 = 1240 calories a day.

A normal healthy girl needs 2000 calories a day, so for to be burning off roughly 1240 calories a day is very impressive.

Yes that is about right. A good weight lost per week is around 2lbs. So that averages about 10lbs a month. You right on!!!

Is your weight loss a reduction in fat, or a reduction in muscle?

Loosing weight is meaningless without a goal, such as reducing your waist size. The number on a scale doesnt often show in the mirror.

All in all, 11 lbs is good, and fairly typical for almost all diets. However, most diets platue at about 5-6 weeks. Next month don't expect more unless your truely working out to loose the weight. Diets alone are temporary at best.

its not unhealthy at all, ive lost 11 pounds in 1 1/2 weeks and im fine and hydrated and im stronger than ever, 11 pounds in a month is awesome keep going, i only lost that much in that amount of time because i train in mma

I heard its not healthy to lose over 2 pounds a week . (but this might not be true)

It is possible but be sure you are eating healthy and doing resistance exercise to keep from losing muscle. The only way to be healthy and lose that much weight is to do it under the observation of a doctor or trainer.

Nope that is a good amount because you are suppose to lose about 2lbs a week so that would only be 8lbs in a month so you were above that. Good job on the weight loss :)

be careful not to go to crazy with your diet

You have to unbderstand that when you lose weight that fast, you take muscle mass with it, meaning it can be damageing to the heart.

I would take it a little slower than that.

11 pounds in one month is unhealthy..it probably means you lost muscle as well as water and fat
