Weight loss question...?
I'm 17, 5'4 1/2, and now weigh129 lbs. I want to lose a few to go down to about 120 to fit in a different size jeans. I'm not concerned with my weight really, it's just that I can't find pants to fit me correctly. I have a size 5 (girls jeans size) waist but have a size 9 thighs. I want to go down and fit back in 5's again before the new school year starts, which is August 25th. Is this possible? Can I lose the weight before then? What type of workout and exercises do you recommend for me to lose the weight I need to lose? Btw, I have a pretty fast metabolism, I've just been lazy for a few years, lol. Thanks! [:

I'm not doing this because I'm uncomfortable with the way I look. I'm doing this because I have to buy a size 8 jeans that are a little too tight in the thighs and WAY too big in the hips, like I said in the question, I have a size 5 hips. I just want to be comfortable in what I wear. And being in shape is a plus too. [:

While doing all this working out, avoid sports drinks. They contain a surprising amount of fat and sugar, sometimes more than foods we think of as junk food. Just stick with water while you're trying to lose weight, or something like Cyrstal Light or other water flavoring products just look at the nutrition label on them.

need to have a morning joggings and reduce the level of sugar intake(ie; if u take a lot of sweets nowadays). drink a lot of water at dawn and u'll fit into 5's again. lol.

burn the calories you eat be for you go to bed and never eat trans fat. you can also try drinking more water than you eat because your body needs more water than food.

The best way to drop the k's is to excercise....no crap lol. but the best way the i found is actually bike riding. i used to be quite a big lad but then i started to ride to school like 3 days a week which was about a 6km ride so 12 each way for 3 days. Also to tighten up your thighs u should consider doing some skipping only for about 5 to 10 mins a day. lastly u can also do leg press to tone the muscle in your upper legs. not too many weights tho or you will just get buff

It's going to be tough to lose inches and weight before august 25th. Your weight isn't bad. Really, does it really matter what sized jeans you wear. Measure yourself, instead of weighing yourself. Eat sensible and have a good walking program.

I have a friend who is very slim in her waist but her thighs are bigger. She just looked on the internet for the best jeans to fit a tiny waist with larger thighs, or had her jeans altered to fit her. It isn't her weight, but how her thighs are positioned wide. You may not be able to lose the weight bc it may not be weight to lose, it could have to do with your bone structure in your thigh/pelvic area.

You can definitely lose 9 pounds in 6 weeks if you are really determined and dedicated.

Google exercises and you will find a multitude of things you can do. Eat reasonably, drink water and do cardio exercise. Find something you enjoy doing and stick with it.

I would recommend jogging or running 5 times a week to lose weight, however if you wanted to tone the legs up I'd add in some weight training for the legs/abs.

Stay away from fast food, also away from soft drinks...

Do some running, work up a sweat, you should lose weight in no time.

I recommend hot yoga, but that is a bit pricey for ya age.

RUNNING is the best suggestion to increase weight loss. It seems hard to get into the routine. But if you make sure you do it everyday no matter how long the run may be, it can easily be added to a schedule. I do it before I bathe each day...
however, after you get into the routine start focusing more on improving by increasing the distance/speed and you will increase your muscle mass, which increases your metabolism and the results will have you losing weight by the day.
BELIEVE ME IT WORKS!

I have lost fat and have gained better health by following this and the other program I mention in My Profile.

Most of the fat I lost was on my thighs. Staying off sugar really helps.

You will get everything you need by eating the following, listed in order of nutritional value:

Raw leafy green veggies (romaine, red and green leaf lettuces, kale spinach, etc)
Solid green veggies - raw, steamed or frozen (asparagus, broccoli, cabbage, peas, peppers, etc)
Non-green, non-starchy (beets, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, etc)
Beans/legumes - cooked, canned or sprouted ( chickpeas, pinto beans, black beans, etc)
Fresh fruits (apples, bananas, oranges, watermelon, etc)
Starchy veggies (white potatoes, sweet potatoes, squash, corn, carrots, etc)
Whole grains (barley, millet, oats, brown rice, quinoa, etc)
Raw nuts and seeds (almonds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, etc)

Do not skip breakfast. Oatmeal with fresh fruit. No sugar or milk. Rice or almond milk is better. Smoothies can be good too, depending on what you put in it.

You don't have to eat eggs, fish or meat for protein. You can still eat them, but a huge salad with some chicken would be better.

If you eat the right foods you don't have to count calories or carbs. Diets and pills don't work. Medicinal herbs take over and weaken your system.

Drink filtered water. City water may have added chemicals. Can you really trust bottled water?

Pop is one of the worst things you can put in your body. Stay away from sugar, junk food and over processed foods.

You should eat about 1200-1400 calories a day. Make sure you keep note of everything you're consuming.. including drinks. stay away from alcohol because it's loaded in calories. also try to work out every day. You should eat something every few hours and dinner should be your lightest meal. This keeps your metabolism going. GL!

If you want a good diet, the best way to go is with a nutritionist, Weight Watchers and Slim Fast are also good diets, and if you want extra help you can even go to Weight Watchers meetings. Just exercise daily for at least an hour, you can do it!

If you want to appeal to the best of men and best of potential e,employers you had better do what yo are setting out to do. join Weight Losers Anonymous or ask your hospital dietitian where there are clubs, some free, and stick with their routine and you can't go wrong. Exercise to retain strength and tone, not to lose weight.

There is tons of information, nutrition tracker (you log your foods & drinks and the site totals the calories, carbs, fats, protein, etc..), fitness tracker (you log your exercise and the site totals the calories burned), wonderful members to support you, and even teams you can join. You can use their menus and exercise regimen or just enter your own.

you need a good fitness program.. this could make yu feel results in 2-3 days

For exercise, try switching it up (Monday work on arms, Tuesday work on stomach, Wednesday work on legs, Thursday Rest, Friday Arms, Saturday Stomach, Sunday Legs) though you can choose your own schedule/plan. Try maybe using different machines for stomach or legs or arms so your body doesn't get used to it. Also, try increasing the amount of exercise you do every week.

For eating, try portion control (70% of your diet is food intake but exercise is also important) eating the serving size and if there is no designated serving size, 1cup if it's a meal and 1/2 a cup if it's a snack.

Breakfast- Whenever you choose
Drink of choice- hour after breakfast (all other drinks being water; one cup of drink of choice)
Lunch- 1hr after Drink of choice
Snack- 1/2 cup, 1 hour after lunch
Dinner- 2 hours after snack
