are you trying to lose weight? this caloric intake is not enough for your body - we need at least 2100 calories a day. don't focus on counting, focus on eating small portions more often (every 4 hrs or so), until you are at a good full level. you may feel like you've had way too much since by starving and then eating, you may have eaten faster. |

No trust me that's not bad at all except for the fact that's way too less, you need to eat a lot more! You can die from eating like this, eat more nutrition and vegies then you will be fine. Trust me you didn't eat a lot! You are supposed to have like 1,700 calories a day, that's what I do and I'm just fine. |

Did you know that as long as you work out and eat healthy (more than you ate today) then you'll be ok? The average young woman should cosume atleast 1500 calories. You will not gain weight if you're active since you burn that amount all day even when you're not working out. Make sure you get all the vitamins you need daily and you'll FEEL better. That's what eating healthy is all about, living long and feeling good. If you eat less calories then you need then you're burning fat. If you don't have fat then it's pointless to do so. Make sure you feel good. |

What???? I have like over 2000 calories a day and I'm thin thanks to my super fast metabolism. You need to eat waaaaaayyyyy more calories. I'm not telling you to eat junk, but eat more fruits and vgetables and other healthy things and have a chocolate for god sake!!! |

Eating "okay" isn't about counting calories.
With oatmeal, spaghetti and potatoes you're pretty much having a giant starch fest. You need to get in your proteins and vitamins.
Try eating balanced meals and snacks instead of bland foods and counting calories. As long as you regulate your intake of fats and carbs, and eat foods rich in Protein, Fibre, Vitamins and Minerals etc, you're good to go. Don't try to zero-out on calories. You're supposed to consume something like 2500 per day. |

They say the best way to lose weight is to speed up your metabolism. The best way to speed up your metabolism is to eat about 5 small meals a day. Or make sure you eat your breakfast, lunch, and dinner but have snacks (healthy snacks) in between. You definitely did not eat too much today. Don't starve yourself. Work out. Eat healthy not just little foods. |

As well as those 150 calories of exercise, your body consumes plenty of energy just living. This is why, without any exercise at all, you still won't put on weight with anything less than 1600 calories a day.
So I wouldn't worry. Quite the opposite: you need plenty more. |

Add some dark green veggies on half your plate, some natural oil like olive oil and some fruit like grapes and maybe some protein like legumes

All you've eaten is less than 400 calories!
A cat couldn't live on that!
And it's all carbs!
IF you are overweight, you will lose safely at 1200 calories a day.
If you are NOT overweight, you should be eating more like 1800-2000 a day.
Your diet should include protein (meat, poultry, dairy products, fish, eggs) as well as 5 servings a day of fruits and veggies, and NOT so much pasta, potatoes.
The oatmeal is good (high fiber).
Eat a piece of fruit with it.
I recommend bananas, as you are depleting your potassium on your present diet.
Also, people who drank three glasses of milk a day lost weight easier than those who did not. It's the calcium, apparently.
Try this:
breakfast: oatmeal, skim milk (1 cup) banana
lunch: tomato soup, half a tuna sandwich, glass of skim milk
dinner: 1/3 lb. chicken, 1/2 cup green beans, 1/2 cup carrots, glass of skim milk
snack: 1 apple
drink lots of water all day (8-10 glasses total)
Exercise moderately (30-60 minutes a day)
Get 8 hours of sleep (harder to lose weight when overtired)
Your "diet" sounds like something out of an anorexic's diary!
Do NOT diet without a doctor's advice!
and do NOT try to lose more than 2 lbs a week! |

The misconception is that too many calories make you fat. That is really not the case at all. It you eat low fat high fiber diet you will in fact find yourself losing weight and/or not gaining any. Just exercise 30 minutes a day. High fiber makes you fill up faster so you end up eating less. |

What you ate was fine, it wasn't too much and it was healthy foods but it wasnt enough at all and you need some fruits and veggies in there somewhere... Are you trying to eat healthier or lose weight? It's mainly about portion control and not eating a lot at once... I just started this new diet from the doctor cuz im having trouble losing my weight from having my son and its working... You eat 300 calories for breakfast, 200 calories for snack, 300 calories for lunch, 200 calories for snack, and 300 calories for dinner... Exercise 30-60 mins a day even just a brisk walk that gets your heartbeat going and it works, if you eat only 2 or 3 times a day or try to starve yourself its not helping you the doctor explained to me that your body holds onto your fat because it doesn't know when its going to eat again so you don't lose weight as fast or easy... I eat a bowl of Kellogg's specail K for breakfast, apple or banana for snack, small sandwich or soup that doesn't go over 300 calories for lunch, mixed fruit for snack, and a chicken salad or baked chicken and vegetable for dinner, sometimes Ill have Special K for dinner instead... I have been losing weight and feeling a lot better and healthier... Before I was trying to lose weight and I wouldn't eat until like 3pm and only eat twice a day but exercise and I wouldn't lose weight but now I am doing good... I lost 8lbs the first week I started it! I hope this helps you out a little... =] |

...come on seriously...... you didn't eat too much
oh and you probably feel like you ate too much becuase you have a lot of carbs there which makes you feel bloated and fat.. so you should eat some fruits or vegetables so you feel better.

You didn't eat okay at all, You didn't eat enough. Unless you plan on eating that little FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, then you need to drastically up the calorie intake and quality of the foods you are eating. Where is the protein? If you just survive on simple carbs like spaghetti, you wont get a nice toned look, which you can only get by feeding your muscles with their life source: protein! I would suggest this as a daily meal plan...
Breakfast
One cup (not half) of oatmeal with sliced banana
low fat yogurt
Lunch
sliced turkey breast sandwich on whole grain with some lettuce, cucumber, red onions (salad stuff)
Dinner
Grilled chicken or fish, with a large salad (avocado, tomato, red onions, lettuce, cucumbers, red peppers and a little low fat feta cheese is sooo yummy)
The plan I suggested above will give you nutrients and is still way less than the average person eats. The above plan is about 1300 calories or so, the minimum women need to lose weight healthily and keep it off. Please try it, it's so much easier to stick with.
Good luck, hope I didnt sound too critical but I don't like to see people starving themselves when it isnt necessary. Drink water and do lots of cardio and strength exercises and you will look fabulous and healthy. |

Eh, try putting a couple vegetables (steamed are low in calories if you're worried) and fruits natural.
You need some calories, or your body will actually gain weight if that's what you're worried about. In the morning add a apple or grapefruit to your breakfast.
You defiantly did not have to much. My 7 year old cousin eats more then that.
Also, your body needs a minimum of 1100 calories a day. 2000 is good as well. If you work out? You need to eat half of the calories you lose. |

Believe it or not, you need to eat more calories. You can limit yourself to so little. Your body burns 1500-2000 (rough estimate) calories a day. If you're only intaking 300-400 calories, your body will start to adapt.
What I mean by this is, it will notice it's not getting enough calories, so when you DO eat, it will store as much of it as fat as possible (because food appears to be scarce). As a result, you are not really doing yourself much of a favour by eating so little.
And your spaghetti is only 77 calories? Wow... |
