It's true. You can eat WHATEVER you want as long as it's in controlled portions. But cutting out bread for a week and eating low fat/calorie foods would deffintiley make you lose at least 2 pounds. Ive known a girl who lost 5 pounds in one week eating nothing but fruits and vegetables and running for about an hour everyday

It takes more than a week to start losing weight from cutting out starch. Your body has to reach a certain state before it realizes there's no more carbs coming and it needs to dip into the fat. Two weeks is when you might see a difference,

You want to lose weight ? Have a healthier diet, cut out processed foods, exercise.

you cant lose weight from not eatting one thing. u need to have alittle bit of everything.
yessssss including carbs

Quicksand
bread is good for your health just eat less will do the trick and eating small snacks in between main meals will make you eat less in the main meal and that will make the difference and you will eat less calories per day and that will make your body firmed and toned in a very short time even if you didn't exercises but the snacks must be slices of carrots and cucumber =40 calories

C'mon y'all! Bread is YEAST! Sugar is food for yeast. You cut out bread for a week and no telling how much weight you'll lose! Could be like 10 pounds if you do some exercising and running and stuff. Just make sure your bowels are moving. If you want to lose weight, you have to poop out more than you eat.
And you won't have as much trouble starting the next time after you have started back eating the bread again. But, your body is pretty smart. It will start storing the growth in places you can't get rid of easily, such as, the hips, the thighs, under your arms, your butt . . .
If you stop eating bread, you should stop all dairy products, and pharmaceuticals and over-the-counter meds or stimulants or well, coffee, but I drink that and I feel the effects.
See, I have tried that and it works, but not as much as quitting all of that. I still do a lot more than I need to, but I feel that I have a strong liver and kidneys and I live in the United States of America.
I can do what I want to do.

Depends. The best diet is to eat less and exercise more. If you want to lose weight, talk to your doctor.

cutting out bread can help you lose weight as long as you dont replace the calories from the bread with something else. for an inactive female about 130lbs, you need about 1400 calories to maintain your weight. To lose weight, you should cut back to about 1200 calories. If you are active, you will need more than 1400 calories. if you cut out 200 calories a day you can lose about 2 lbs a week. If you add in exercise you can lose more than that.

First of all, why bread? Do you really consume that much of it on a daily basis??

You would be better of giving up dairy or sweet snacks. Unless you already consume large amounts of bread daily, cutting it out wont make you lose a whole lot of weight.

Think about what has made you gain weight and cut that out!

Good Luck!

you could cut out bread and miss the carbs so u might switch to somthing like candy, which has even emptier carbs than bread [especially whole grain] but if you substitute those carb cravings from the absence of bread with somthing like and apple then yes you WILL lose weight

probably nothing..

Hey just being honest. It takes a lot more than that.

If you cut off food in general for a week then you might lose those 3 pounds ^ ^ ^

But please don't do that because you'll die.

hi, cutting out bread will help as is a carb.
other carbs inclucde
potatoes
rice
pasta
(look uphigh carb foods or low carb diet)
then I believe you could lose 5kg/week

Im about to endeavour on the cabbage soup diet for a week, to kick start a diet and healthier eating as I realised I was eating too many carbs. I expect to lose 5-7 kg/week

Tatem
I would think at least 5 lbs. my daughter cut out bread, pasta, taco shells and lost 7lbs.

Bob M
I eat 6 pieces of bread, pretty much everyday... so a girl at my ratio ( which is 144lbs 6'1) weight would eat 4 pieces.... or if over my ratio probably the same, so 6-7 pieces of bread is: almost 420 calories u would be less of, of ur intake... but if you r goin on low carb diet- the best thing to do is eat whole wheat bread, or something with lots of grain (lots of fiber) which will be actually less than the actual carbs that it sais... like if it was 15g for one slice and the fiber was 6g... u would subtract 6 from 15= 9g of carbs... which you would be eating: 30% less carbs than the usual bread...

it's not going to do much.

weight loss takes more commitment than that.
take out a few extra calories (ex: junk foods)
and exercise

Dars
I don't understand how that will make you lose weight. Cutting out sugar, yes. Exercising, yes. I think it will be quite insignificant.

conor
A week is not enough time to make any kind of a difference. You're looking for results too quickly. Try to have some more realistic expectations. There's only one sure fire way to lose weight no matter what the diet: burn more calories than you take in. Period.

Try aiming for 3 months.

depends. you might just want to eat smart and stay active on a regular bases and get lots of sleep.

Elena W
You shouldn't cut out all bread for a week!(unless there is bread that have oils in them!) But if you are cutting out oily bread for a week, yes you would lose weight, only it would take exercising too to get at least 2 pounds gone. 1-3 pounds should take you about 2 weeks.

that white kid in the corner
depending on how much bread you eat yes... btu if your trying to lose weight and you drink Alto of sugary juices and stuff i suggest you try cutting you juice in half or just drinking water... also You can drink a glass of water before a meal and then you'll get fuller faster..

Aleksis
you could lose your sanity because carbs give you energy and cutting those out makes you super lethargic and you don't have energy for ANYTHING :/

Bread is healthy for you, take out something else.

You could lose any where from 1-5 pounds
i have tried it it works if you are just trying to lose a couple pounds

if bread is the only carbs you eat then you will lose Weight but when you start eating carbs again you will most likely gain it all back.

tommyboy
It depends on the rest of your diet. If you want the low carb diet you also need to cut out pasta, potatoes, rice, and corn. I knew a guy in decent shape that lost ten pounds in one week on the no carb diet.

depends lik if u stop eating and sit on the couch than u wont loose any but if u stop takin it and lik go 2 the gym every once in a while then u surely will ;)

believe.
just cause you cut out bread doesn't mean you'll lose a ton of weight...
dieting is all about portions as my mom says and she's lost almost 30 pounds

go get a food guide & teach yourself how to eat properly instead of 'cutting out' a certain type of food. instead of cutting out food, work out daily.
