i cant exercise cause in 03 i was in a severe wreck and so my mobility is down i can move my arms and walk a lil but it limited and my sore feet make it worse

I know a guy that once he lost weight, he lost his diabetics also. For your height, you should be in the 130 to 160 area, not 285.

try eating healthy foods... like carrots instead of chips, lot o water, and excercise, thats probaly the only way to avoid it if u can avoid it at all

Why can't you work out? Just going for walks, or getting on a treadmill can help. Go to a local park, and just walk around for an hour.

And eating right means getting rid of fatty foods, and lowering your caloric intake. The right amount of calories depends on your body type, and a doctor can help you find the right amount for you. But, basically, no fried foods, no snack foods, nothing overly sugary, etc etc. Vegetables, fruit, and lean meats. Just... healthy.

You really need to consult your physician. Then ask him if they haven't already suggested, seeing a nutritionist.

if you have some of the symptoms you should see your doctor for evaluation. early diagnosis and treatment are very important. good luck, and might you be able to swim or do exercises in water? eating right, a variety of foods in the proper portion sizes can help your body be able to handle the amount of glucose in your system. good luck.

Go to your doctor and have them help you with a diet plan. My father was diagnosed with diabetes, and after 6 months of eating right, he went back to the doctor and had no more symptoms. He cut excessive sugar, and believe it or not, most dairy out of his diet.

I am mild diabetic. You need to lose weight & control your sugar before you lose your sight, your kidneys, or a leg! Start by getting a good diet book--I use the Dr's pocket guide calorie, fat & carb counter.I got mine on Amazon. Then stick to a 1400 calorie a day diet, with no more than 150 gms of carbs. Keep a food diary, too. Good luck!!

Go to Weight Watchers.com...they can help you start eating the right amount of calories. You will start losing weight and start feeling more energy at which time you can start to exercise. Start out simple, by just going for a walk. It really works and is very easy to do. You can eat the same normal foods that you eat, but you have to keep track of your caloric intake. You can do it. I did it because I was having symptoms of pre-diabetes. I lost 35 pounds and the weird feelings went away. Good luck to you!

Why "cant" you exercise? That sounds like bullcrap to me. Exercise. And cut the calories, otherwise you are going to get what you deserve by living so unhealthily. Go see your Doctor and have them put you on an exercise program if you need to. Just get off the couch, stop watching Jerry Springer, and get some exercise. Excuses are for losers, results are for winners.

You really need to talk with an health care professional before it to late and see what they can do to help you with your weight and how you can lose it with out starving yourself to death

first of all you need to see your doctor about your systoms your having he or she will put you on a proper diet for you to follow and excercise is most helpful i'm a diabetic and weigh 200 pounds if i can do it you can do it

You would probably have to get medication help with both the diabetes and weight loss and start some gentle exercises until you are able to recover more. Obesity doesn't help the situation.

go to your doctor to get checked for diabetes and ask their advice. also visit a dietitian who will be able to to advise you on foods you can eat and those to avoid.

eat right as in don't eat any candy and don't go out to eat, and if you have to go out to eat (like with family or something) choose something low card and then walk or run off the extra calories and carbs. try this and you will probably stop feeling the symptoms, and you will have some extra money from not buying candy or eating out.

Start losing weight immediately. Stomach stapling is becoming popullar.

Stay away from sugarand fast food. Try to exercise and eat health.

1st get to the doctor like some others said. I cook for 2 diabetics. there is a diet they follow. But they also eat in moderation when they want sweets they just have a SMALL piece and not everyday

Sounds like you don't want to do anything. You seem to be rejecting common sense and trying to rationalize your way out of helping yourself get better. So if you don't care about your health, why should anyone else? Stay the way you are, let your diabetes cause hypertension and then lead to kidney disease and ultimately failure. Have a stroke that incapacitates you and end up in a skilled nursing facility half paralyzed and on dialysis for the rest of your short life if you want.
Sorry, it may sound harsh but you can't help someone that does not wan to help themselves. Talk to your doctor and see a dietician. Get your weight under control and move a little more each day than you did the day before, that’s called exercising; we’re not talking running a marathon here. To say you can’t exercise is moronic. Walk up the stairs instead of using an escalator; take a walk around the block, and next week try 2 blocks. Go to the mall and window shop. Just move and stop making excuses, I’m telling you this here because the last person you want to see in real life is me.
