how do i remove my braces myself(teeth)?

My teeth...have moved...help?
I had braces for two years, and finally, when I got them, I was asked to wear a retainer. Sadly, I've neglected doing that and now I think they've moved. If I wear my retainer religiously, will they move back into place?

go to the dentist, if you wear your retainer as much as you should it shouldnt happen again

Mr. Important
maybe,, worth the shot.

just put your hands on your teeth and PUSH!!

It is possible, but there is a huge chance it won't. I am sorry to say, but they tell you to wear your retainer for a reason. I hope your teeth get fixed on their own! :)

Take care now.

you should talk to your dentist or call the office and tell them the truth

Junior E
no a retainer only moves it slightly and because it was made to hold your teeth after braces it might mess it up more

yeah if you keep wearing your retainers

Miles C
Yes, but see your dentist to verify

Who Needs Him??
My teeth did that to when i i got them takin off. They told me to wear the retainer, but i didnt want to, so they moved back to how my teeth USE to be. If you put the retainer on it wont do anything. Your going to have to wear braces AGAIN.
Im sorry its bad news, but thats the truth.
Hope i helped :) Good luck
Happy Holidays

you have to get braises again if they moved back, a retainer prevents them from moving and a night guard prevents them from moving while you sleep. It does not work like braces and a retainer is only prevention.

If you can still get your retainer on so it fits in place that should (fingers crossed) make a difference. Give it a few months of wearing it religiously and see if the gaps close and your teeth sit in place where they should. If they don't you will need braces again........My cousin had braces for 2.5 years and didn't wear her retainer and now the central gap is back. Don't learn the hard way, wear your retainer! Xx

Yes they should, just remember that you may have to see your dentist from time to time to get them adjusted

patato salad
where have they moved to i herd parish was a nice place to live

well rounded hazel
Wow, that's what I wondered when I got my retainer. They will move back in place. I take mine off for hours, but my retainer will feel tight as idk what. Even if you had braces, your teeth will move anyway. I have to wear mine all day. So, they will move back into place as long as you don't keep them out of your mouth for days.

if its a wire retainer, yes they will move back in place
if its the one that looks like invisalign... then no ur screwed.

you might need braces again you should have worn your retainer

Spencer R
yea my mom nags me for wearing it my teeth felt like they moved a bit so i started wearing it then my teeth felt all better

you need to go back so they can fix it before it gets worse

invisaline will help... srry idk spelling... um i dont know if they'll move back into place. It's worth a shot

The reason you have to wear the retainer is so that the teeth don't move back. You spent all that money on getting the braces for nothing. Try putting the retainer back in, and this may help them move back depending on how long you went without wearing it. If they don't move back go back to the dentist, they will probably suggest braces again. good luck.

Some off Beat Humor:

Did they leave a forwarding address so you can mail them chopper paste/gel/chopper brush/mouth wash/loss so they can clean themselves? Did they tell you when they would move back into your mouth? I hope they return soon so you will no longer have to gum your food.

they will but your teeth will become very vulnerable so I suggest were them regularly, so your teeth don't often move and stay straight.

It is better to go to Dentist and get it checked as Dentist is the only one who can help you. It is better to take Dentist's advice.

go to the dentist
but i guess
how long have you NOT been wearing it?
my friend and i would move our teeth ourselves when we got gaps or when they werent straight
not theyre all good :D

they are probably just on vacation my teeth did that once they came back about 6 months later.

Tyler T
making room for other teeth

Yes, they will move back into place. But this time, be sure and get a U-Haul truck to move your teeth, It takes less time and less money. If you want to 'wear your retainer RELIGIOUSLY', you must go to a priest and confess your sins...you can't get more religious than that.

I hope I've been helpful.

That Guy
get a retainer.

Many of my relatives have had retainers. I believe you will be fine if you wear it regularly.

Thank you for posting this because my son is reading it WITHOUT his retainer in his mouth. His bottom teeth shifted already and the top will too if he doesn't get it in his mouth. Your parents, I assume, spent alot of money to give you a nice smile, don't be lazy and wear the retainer. You may have to go back to the orthodontist and hopefully they haven't moved too much.

Good Luck

i did the same thing and my retainer doesn't even fit any more its too late for me but if u do u should be able to fix it maybe not completely but enough so it looks fine
