11 months. I had straight teeth previous to the treatment, but I needed to close my gap in between my two front teeth and my "overjet" or overbite.

I will have had my braces on for 2 years in Nov. I am supposed to have them on for 2-3 years, so I might be getting them off then!! The best thing to do to figure out the approx. time left with ur braces is to ask ur orthodontist.

Okay, my first time I had braces I was supposed to have a head gear for one year and braces for 3 years more. I was lucky, my dentist didn't put head gear on me and my braces were only on 2 years. My teeth started moving after the braces were removed so now I have them again, I've had 'em about a year and a half or so and will be getting 'em off in 1-2 months.

well my first set was on for 2 years and the my second set was on for 3 years.

I still have mine on after 2 years, but my orthodontist said i'll have them off before the end of 2007. 2- 2.5 years was the predicted time for me so im right on schedule. i had a lot of gaps on top and crowding on the bottom and i had to have a baby tooth extracted from under the gum tissue becuz it had been impeded by the teeth on either side, so that factored in a lot of time becuz she had to make the space for the oral surgeon to do his job and then we had to wait for the tooth to come in and now we have to close the gap. so thats my experience with braces. hopfully you wont have them on too much longer.
