I can't imagine they are GOOD for them. All an apple has in it is sugar I think? So how can sugar be good for your teeth.

Apples are good for your teeth. They normally would tell you they are good when your teeth is falling off though. LOL

Yes, apples are good for your teeth. Not only do they promote good chewing and biting habits. They are nutritious.

" An apple a day keeps the doctor away "
Ah, That old saying, that is an ancient myth that still cannot be reseracted from its shallow truth.
Unfortunetly, Alot of people lose teeth from apples, since the pressure of biting down on the solid fruit compacts power including Losing, Chipping, or loosening a tooth [ Baby or full grown tooth ]

ace
Apples don't clean your teeth....like any crunchy food it might scrape off plaque and then you eat the bacteria in your mouth (plaque aka the bacteria in your mouth can increase your risk for heart disease BTW) and like all foods the sugar from them also feeds the micro-organisms in your mouth which **** out the bacteria that dissolves your teeth.....
But apples are not bad for you, they are nutritious for your body....what's bad for you is not flossing or brushing. A food that is good for your teeth is anything that has calcium in it like dairy and salmon. Its Calcium that keeps your teeth strong just like your bones!

Andrew M
There good so long as you don't eat too many. Because they contain acidic juice in the long term apples will cause acid erosion. Still they are very healthy!

Dentist only say that because like dog food it will rub the junk off your teeth in an event you don't brush so much so an orthodontist will tell you Not to eat apples if you get braces so otherwise apples have nothing to do with teeth care..................

Jauregui
yea and they give you good breath

Sweet Linds
Sure are they clean them to (not to be substituted w/ regualr brushing)

nolipooh

yes...they say an apple a day keeps the dentist away because it takes some of the plaque of your teeth while your eating it.

Shayna
yes, they clean your teeth. like after you eat them doesnt your mouth feel cleaner? Over time, apples can help rid of stains. I've actually noticed this with my teeth. The mildly acidic and astringent quality of apples cleanses and brightens your teeth. not only that, but they also help clean out your digestive system and taste great! hope i helped! some people say the whole thing is just a myth, but im pretty sure its true.
