what cancers can Alcohol cause?

The Fred
breast cancer

Liver cancer and (i'm pretty sure this doesn't exist) kidney cancer.

DJ Big Dog
Liver, more than anything.

Doesn't always "cause" but helps speed it up.

Alcohol is more known for causing sclerosis of the liver..

Breast, colorectal, liver, bladder, cervical, gallbladder, leukemia, and lung cancers are among the primary ones.

I don't know if it can cause any, but if it did, it would probably be liver.

Really only liver cancer, and it is extremely rare. As long as you drink alcohol in moderation it really isn't that bad for you. Alcohol slowly kills of parts of your liver (on a microscopic scale). The parts that are killed off are then regenerated. Because it only happens on a cellular level (if you drink in moderation) it really won't even cause cancer. So if one of your friends/parents/counselors told you that alcohol causes cancer, they're pretty much full of it. Alcohol dehydrates what it comes into contact with. So if alcohol came into contact with a tumor (cancer) it would actually weaken the cancer a bit.

the Clock is Orange

dunno if it can but u culd prob get liver cancer. i think ne ways or just damage ur liver and pancreas

It's a risk factor for (not a cause of) some types of cancer, such as breast, larynx, mouth and liver.

For example, regularly drinking more than 1 unit of alcohol per day slightly increases the risk of breast cancer/

Doctors are not exactly sure what causes many cancers, but they know what increases your risk of getting certain cancers.

Excessive alcohol use can increase your risk of getting liver, mouth, esophageal, laryngeal, pharyngeal, and possibly even breast cancer.

none, if you don't abuse it.

According to the expert report from the American Institute for Cancer Research, Food, Nutrition and the Prevention of Cancer: a Global Perspective, there is convincing evidence that alcohol increase the risk of cancer of the mouth, pharynx, larynx and esophagus. The risk of upper respiratory tract cancer is greatly increased if drinkers also smoke. Alcohol also increase the risk of liver cancer and probably increases the risk for colon, rectal and breast cancer.

Most things 'cause' cancer these days anyway.
