cervical cancer injections for teenage girls?
recently, vaccines for cervical cancer have been introduced in my school. Is it really as safe as they say? Can you get side effects?

Ex sheepie
DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't listen to those who will tell you they are safe for they are ignorant and are uninformed as to what the vaccine ingredients are.

VACCINE INGREEDIENTS:
Phenol (poison)
Formaldehyde (Cancer causing)
Alum (Preservative)
Acetone (Nail polish remover)
Aluminium phosphate (toxic deodorants)
Glycerine (toxic liver, kidney and lung damage)
Monosodium glutamate (MSG allergic)
Toxic metals, lead, cadmium, aluminium and MERCUARY (thimerosal)
Faecal matter, dog kidney, monkey kidney
Horse and calf serum, pig blood, horse blood and rabbit brains
Yeast proteins
Antibiotics
RNA and DNA from growth medium including retro viruses from animals
SV40 cancer causing from monkeys associated with brain and lung tumours
Aborted baby lung tissue.
Scary ugh?

Many people who get vaccinated get cancer, so many people take the flu vaccine and get the flu with other side affects.

Take some time out of your life and serch the truth about vaccines for yourself, here are some sites for you to research, there is hundres more but can not fit them in here.

It's about population control and making money out of you before you
die! Your illness, their proffit.

I had my third shot yesterday.
Dont listen to everyone saying it is dangerous - because do you really think that the government would let most teenage girls receive the vaccination.
The side effects are

: Side Effects
Very common (side effects which may occur in more than 1 per 10 dose of vaccine)
.Pain or discomfort in at the injection side
.Redness of swelling at the injection side
.headache
.aching muscles
.Tierdness

Common ( side effects which occur in less than 1 per 10 but more than 1 per 100 doses of vaccine)
. Nausea / Vomiting
.Diarrhoea and Abdominal pain
.Itching, red skin rash
.Joint pain
.Fever

Uncommon ( side effects which may occur in less than 1 per 100 but more that 1 per 1,000 doses of vaccine)
.Infection of nose, throat
.Dizziness
.Other injection site reactions such as hard lump, tingling or numbness.

To be honest it is fine, Just think would you rather a needle or cancer?

My injections only left me with a headache and a sore arm (which can be expected)

When people say that girls have became seriousley ill after having this vaccination you need to remember that with every injection someone, somewhere will have an allergic reaction to this. It hasn't stopped people getting these injections, so why is it different on this one.
I have had all three and i am happy now because i know that my chances of getting cervical cancer have been reduced.
Please get it
Hope this Helps :)

I had an injection for cervical cancer and there are possible side effects but all I got was soreness at the injection site for about a day.

thats the thing
they are really new and probaly tested on female mice
the are bound to have there side effects in time most things do

Ray
There are side effects for every drug but you have to look at the bigger picture, what would you rather have a headache now or cervical cancer 20 years down the road.

I got my first jab done yesturday.
It was just a simple injection. I need 2 more.
I have a tiny bruise on my arm. But thats it. It's very safe and better than getting cancer huh?

You may get a stupid side effect, but it will go away. Wouldn't you rather have a headache or something for a day rather than die of cancer, get the needle.

Cervical cancer vaccine is highly recommended for girls. It gives protection against strains of HPV infection, likely to induce cervical cancer. Side effects are insignificant. Apart from the high cost (USD 350 approx for 3 doses) there are no major concerns.

I studied this Cervical Cancer vaccine for months at school as part of my A-Level course. This vaccine is EXTREMELY safe and there are a few very minor side effects- the worst one being an allergic reaction, but this is VERY rare. If this vaccine wasn't safe, the government wouldn't be paying so much money to give it to every girl! Trust me. I've already had my jabs and they went fine! The vaccine is very safe- dont listen to anyone who says otherwise! For instance, my sister came home the other day saying that people at school have been saying that the vaccine can make you blind! It's so bizzar some of the rumours people spread round these days! That was the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard! When I studied it, we even had the lady who ran the cervical cancer campaign come in to talk to us all about it, so I know the ins and outs of the whole thing.
Overall, the vaccine is most definitely worth having. You'd be a fool not to! Cervical cancer is the second most common cancer in women these days. It's really important that every girl who is offered it has it!
I hope this helps

I have had the jabs and although many of the girls got frightened and started crying, once it was over it was fine. Out of 90 no girls in my year got side effects and i think they're very rare. If you do notice them contact your local GP :) hope i have helped xxxxxx

It's safer and less harmful than cancer.

Get the jab. I wish they'd had it for girls when I was at school. I'd've jumped at it.

Short answer: Yes, the benefits by far outweigh the very rare risks.

Gardasil has just passed it's two year safety check:-
http://www.medicinenet.com/script/main/art.asp?articlekey=93602

There are a few articles from the respected Lancet regarding it too, they support it:-
http://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(09)61248-4/abstract

http://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(06)68439-0/abstract

All Vaccinations carry their rare risks, but the benefits do outweigh the rare risks. Unfortunately the HPV vaccine has almost turned into the whole MMR debate all over again,- where the media and anti-vaccination brigade have put a lot of incorrect unproven information into circulation. I can't tell you what to do, but I will give my opinion which is based on actual fact. I am 23 and will soon be paying for the vaccine privately, I have researched this vaccine extensively.

The RARE negative side effects reported are just that, rare. There haven't been many severe reactions and of those that have occurred, there is no proven evidence to link the reaction to the actual vaccination. For example, of the handful of severe side effects reported haven't been proven to be a direct cause of the vaccine and Gardasil hasn't been the proven cause of ANY death. Neither is there any substantial evidence to show it causes cancer.

Thousands of girls have had this vaccine and only a handful of girls have reported to have had severe reactions. The most common, mild and minor reactions experienced are redness and soreness at the injection site and fainting. (The fainting was likely the result of just having the injection rather than the actual vaccine being to blame.)

In the UK, cervical cancer is the 12th most common form of cancer in women, with around 2,800 cases and just over 1,000 deaths from cervical cancer each year and 270,000 worldwide. It is a silent cancer. Although smear testing has brought the number of cervical cancer cases down, no test is 100%.

The problem with cervical cancer is that by the time symptoms are noticed, it is sometimes too late and the disease has metastized, if you are young (like what has happened to Jade Goody for example), the disease will spread more quickly. Even if the cancer is caught in time, it will not prevent the mutilating surgery that has to be carried out in order to save your life. This includes removal of part of the bowel, ovaries and womb.

70-90% of cervical cancer cases are caused by the HPV (Human Papilloma Virus), the cervical cancer vaccines offers full protection against the types of HPV that have a direct link with Cervical cancer (types 16 and 18). If there is a chance that you can save yourself from the sheer misery cervical cancer would cause, I would take it.

With regards to long term side effects, this vaccine has undergone the same testing that other drugs go through before being licenced. The only long term uncertainty is whether or not we will need a booster vaccine in later life. If so, we will be given it.
