Anything is possible. I am not sure that it's probable, but I'm sure it does happen from time-to-time.

Yes. If you're worried, see a doctor, no matter how unlikely you think it is. Better safe than sorry.

I work at one of the largest cancer hospitals in NYC, and believe me when I say cancer discriminates against no age.

Please get that checked out!

Yes, it is pretty rare, but it can happen.

internits
Yes, but it is very rare.

Please go to the doctor if you are worried. It's what they are there for!

Yes. People can get breast cancer at ANY age. I personally was diagnosed at 31. I have a friend who had it at 15.

lo_mcg
It's extremely unusual, but not unheard of.

Getting older is the biggest breast cancer risk factor: 80% of cases occur in women over 50.

If you have any cause to worry, please see your doctor so s/he can put your mind at rest. But remember that most breast lumps are not cancerous, and breast cancer in someone as young as 18 is EXTREMELY rare.

kja63
Yes she can.

mytwodogs60463

The incidence of breast cancer increases with age and doubles every 10 years until the menopause when the rate of increase slows.

Approximately a quarter of breast cancers affect women under the age of 50, a half occur between the ages of 50 and 69 and the remaining quarter develop in women who are 70 years or older.

the Magician's Assistant
yes indeed, also males.

Aloe With Monkeys

Francesca

TinyMe

Unfortunately yes, but in that case there is typically a genetic issue or exposure to a carcinogen. If someone has breast cancer under the age of 40 it is recommened that they see a genetics counselor to rteview the family history and see if they may have a genetic marker that predisposes them to breast cancer.

piemuncherno1
Yes.
