What's the best advice from cancer survivors?
I lost my older sister to cancer when she was just 45. Our Mom passed away at 45 as well. I lost my younger sister at age 41. I almost didn't live to age 45 myself when I had a toxic reaction to mold in my workplace. A team of specialists at Shands Hospital saved my life....barely.

My best pal lost his wife to cancer and then was given only a 30% chance of living himself when cancer struck him. He had a radical surgery that saved him.

We decided to write a book to help encourage people through life-challenges like cancer and losing loved ones. Our book is called Positive Reflections: Inspiring Thoughts & Photographs From Around The World

Its available at www.SunnyHarborPublishing.org

My advice for the day comes fro Winston Churchill. He said, "If you're going through hell, keep going!"

In other words, hang in there and keep trying no matter what.

What advice do you have today?

A cure for Cancer 100% was found in the first half of the 20th century! And only took a week or two. All natural. The doctor that discovered it was able to cure 100%. The cure is to "catch a fever". A patiant of his caught a fever and the CAncer was gone. He contacted other doctors but they said they had seen it; but made nothing of it. So he gave fevers to all, for the rest of his life.
This report was on the Discovery Health Channel about 2001. They also had a chart from 1950 to 2000 showing that only about 3% of people got Cancer in 1950. In 2000 there was only about 3% that did not get it sometime in their life. And as each vacantion/shot was invented the odds of getting the Cancer odds increased.
If you remember that man that got Cancer and went running all over the place and this killed his Cancer? He was in the news. Running makes one hot.
My ex. insisted that we get a microwave oven. I said "no" for years. I finely gave in. Over the next four years three pre-malignant tummers I found and were removed and ID. They did not even show up on the xray tests to prove they were there. I got rid of that microwave and none have come since.
Back in 1997, on the news, it was reported that these phones many carry around in their pockets caused Cancer. Everyone yelled "NO!" back and ran out to get them. In 1992 the news had anounced that sleeping with your elec. clock close to your head caused Brain Cancer. I had an aunt with Brain Cancer at the time and asked if she slept with her clock close to her head; she said "yes".
Look deep. I'm sorry for any mis spellings. The spell check is claiming all are correct. Even I can tell they are not.

Trust God.
God knows what should happen better than you do yourself.
Trust God, as much as you don't want to.

When the chemo and radiation are getting you down, picture those faces who will miss you.

Stay strong and dont give up.
Fight with all you have and make sure to fall into the arms of the ones that support you.

Keep praying and God will answer your prayers.
Its in His hands.

I believe positive thinking has a great deal to do with survival. I am a survivor of 13 years; had a bilateral mastectomy. I attribute a lot of it to having a great sense of humor (some people have called it weird) and am an optimist. I would not even have had a mammogram if it hadn't been for my primary care doctor; he practically carried me to the lab. There had been no cancer in my family and I didn't believe it was possible for me to have it. "Just hang in there and keep trying, no matter what". Good luck to all.

LOVE the quote from churchill. i try to live everyday like it is my last. love my family and friends. take care of myself and most important is to have as much fun as possible. i love to help others and cook so i do this as often as my own cancer treatment will allow. i treat myself well because, i am definately worth it. i love hard and play hard but, at the end of the day if i have no regrets then i have had a good day. if i have hurt anyone i fix it pronto. i have a great life and i know that when i die i will do so with no regrets and with complete peace because, my family will know just how much i have loved them. my family and friends give me my greatest pleasure and strength in my weaker moments and i hope i give it back to them in their weakest moments.
