My mom has died of cancer and I'm 15, will this pain heal?
I saw her last breath and was holding her hand, I said all I needed to say. But I have this empty feeling and I cry anytime I know she should be where I am. This empty feeling is the worse feeling in the world because I lost her, I need her so badly, my stomach and heart are heavy and I want it to go away :,(

I am so sorry... Truly sorry. My heart is seriously hurting right now I couldn't imagine being without my mother. I've never experienced losing someone that close to me, but I honestly don't think that feeling will ever go away. I mean it was your mother. I'm sure it will get easier over time, but it's definitely not a feeling that will go away soon or even ever. Your mom is probably in a better place, and even though she's gone she probably wants you to be happy. But I really don't know what else to say, I'm just really sorry about your lost. My prayers go out to you and your family.

btw: I know this is the LEAST of your concerns, but you are really pretty from what I can see in your avatar.

Awwwwwwe, hun I'm so sorry. That's terrible. But to answer your question the only thing I can think for you to do is remind yourself that she IS in a better place. It will take some time, depending on how long ago this happened. Hope this helped. Good Luck.

I am so, so , sorry I really know how you feel. O my God I am so sorry. I was 12 years old when I saw my mother take her last breath . that I was crying and screaming that my family took me out of the room, I regret what i did in my past, I wish I never did what I did. I Tell you this for I want you to be stronger and have faith, I know now my God and my mom is watching over me I know we are in pain, our heart are hurting that we want our mother back. But Please don't cover your pain with drugs and alcohol. Please don't hang out with the wrong crowd ,Please try to stay in school and graduate and get your diploma. Let your mother be proud of you. she always with you in heart for the love you have as a daughter to your mother will never pass away. now this is making me cry For no one can replace a real mother. And Please if you believe in God, don't turn your back on God. For God loves you!. God loves your mother the angels took her in God arms in Heaven that your mom and God is watching over you now
God Bless your mom, you, and your family for all of you are in my prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss My sister died of a freak accident 3 weeks ago It was a shock Then we started messages to heaven This is when you are missing a loved one who has passed on you go buy them a card or write a letter or messages What ever you feel You attach the message to a couple of helium balloons Make them as unique as your thoughts And then you release them to heaven We started this on a Military base during Desert Storm at Funerals It helps children deal with death a little bit easier It is like a ongoing conversation When you feel like it send a message I know she looking down from heaven watching over you and she loves you dearly and misses you too Hope this helps Plus see a grieve counselor

You poor love, you must be hurting so much to lose your mom like that. I also lost somebody very close - many years ago. I cant tell you the pain will completely heal, but it will stop hurting so bad with time. I guess heaps of people have said that to you - it seems to be what people say when we have lost someone, but it is true. You will never forget your mom, and the final moments you had together. But you will, in time be able to get on with life again knowing your mom is always with you in spirit. You will know when she is there. I know when my son is nearby. Allow yourself to grieve - its really, really important. Pushing the pain down only makes things worse. I know that from experience. Good luck in your journey.

I'm so sorry for your loss..

My mom was also a victim to cancer, and I'm 14.

Yes, given some time, the pain will heal and your life will return to how it was before.

Just remember. Your moms in a far better place, and one day, you'll meet her again. She's not suffering anymore.

Bless you ;[

Your mom will always be with you hun...The pain will never go away but it will become bearable and in time when you think of her just think of the happy things and all the good times and love....She is in a better place now where there is no suffering...Just remember that she loves you and is watching over you right now...May God ease your pain...

P'quaint!
Just reading this brings tears to my eyes...as I type this! And I'm thrice your age and some more. I miss my mom terribly. I lost her 9 months ago to cancer...and I had been with her intermittently for months together. Seen her agony, did whatever it takes to lessen it...but then, ultimately death is what brings relief! I still wait for her phonecalls...I still want her to be the first to know if something happens to me! Alas!!!

You are at a stage when you need your mother the most! Its pretty sad. Life is full of twists and turns...some brings pleasure, some pain. You will continue to miss your mom your whole life. That's the Truth! But it need not hurt that much!

You have to 'learn' to live with the fact that she is gone and you are not! You have your whole life before you and will surely meet some kindred spirits who would help fill the void...not take her place surely, but help take the feeling of loss away.

One way is to join some support group that has gone through similar situation. Talking/listening helps in a way you can't really imagine. And then you can find some real friends too!

You can try to divert your mind by keeping busy. At your age you have plenty going for you. Take interest in your studies, learn new arts and crafts, etc etc. You HAVE to make conscious effort in the beginning till it comes naturally to you. You owe this to yourself!

Wish you well :) Don't lose heart!

Dave
The pain will never heal but in time it will not be as bad as it currently is. It takes a year for any loss to not hurt so bad. You need to experience the loss of your mother through all seasons. So summer, fall, winter, and spring.

And it will be especially hard around holidays.

That is what my wife's doctor told us about loss (my wife had a mastectomy) but it makes sense. And in time it will not hurt as bad as it does now.

Your mom and her goodness lives in you. It is a gift that she gave you by being your mom. You may not see it, but others will. It could be the way she smiled, or her humor, or kindness. It will be an unconscious thing on your part but when she comes out in you others will see your mom in your actions. And you will remind them of her goodness and love.

And when you have children it will pass on to them, so in a way she lives on by having been a mom to you.

Now she loved you, and loves you. Not even death can separate her love for you. She is there with you in the quiet times, she will be like another guardian angel looking over you and guiding you. How?

It could be in a thought, or an idea, or she could appear to you in a dream. But know that when you smile others that knew your mom will see in your smile a part of her.

She is with you now in your pain, she does not want you to be sad because she is in a place where there is not pain but love, and most of all she does not want you to feel so sad. As any mom would not want her little girl to grieve so much.

Your mom would want you to be the best you that you could possibly be. She was and is very proud of you. So when you start school do well for her. Live up to be the beautiful young women she dreamed you to be.

I wish you peace, hope, and love.

Dave
