If I found a cure for cancer would the government kill me?
I mean I am pretty sure that the Govt made cancer as a form of population control.

Soku the great
Cancer has been cured many times, along with aids... The population isnt informed and the remedy isnt distributed becuase they make billions, billions and billions of dollars off of fund raisers and cancer benefits.

The govt. is a cruel hate machine of unholy deathkill that only cares about itself and the elitist population.

If said remedy was to be distributed and perfected it would be a downfall of one of their biggest means of income.

what a goofy question!.... you must be Stage 4 Terminally BORED. The government didn't invent cancer, silly. For one, it's a disease that's been around long before there WAS such a thing as government. If YOU found a cure, your head would rotate and come off, releasing the alien inside: no human has [or ever will] found a cure. Ya know why? Because there are over 200 different types of cancer, and they all have different structures from each other. Like, a lung cancer cell is not the same as a colon cancer cell. Each one would need a different cure.

As for population control, leave that to humans in general. We are pretty much good at that on our own. Child and adult obesity, diabetes, heart disease, laziness, pneumonia and flu, tuberculosis, AIDS, suicide, car crashes, drowning, murder, and accidents of all kinds. Humans are very capable of ruining their own lives. Forget the government... ha!

why would they kill old people to control the population?

There is a cure for cancer. The cancer industry is just bellow the oil industry so there is plenty of money involved. So ?

Then why cure it if it is population control if you do cure more people will stave to death!

good for you

You would be extremely famous for finding it, but you would also be used a lot because of it.

Although you would also be really rich.

Wherever this question came from, I'm scared to know.

no doubt

Time to go to bed dude

probably so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it would lessen a whole lot of doctor and hospital bills HUGE BILLS!!!!

Guru Hiccup
From your pick and profile name im sure there are some days you can barley find your zipper so i thin that your totally safe.

You need a little education about cancer.

First 'the government' (I assume you mean the US govt - there are others) did not 'make' cancer. Cancer is an ancient disease, as old as humanity itself and older. The first documented case is from ancient Egypt in approximately 1600BC, and describes breast tumours.

The oldest available specimen of a human cancer is found in the remains of skull of a female who lived during the Bronze Age (1900-1600 BC) The tumour in the woman's skull was suggestive of head and neck cancer

Tumours have been discovered on the fossil remains of dinosaurs.

The origin of the word cancer is credited to the Greek physician Hippocrates (460-370 BC).

Secondly, cancer would be a very inefficient method of population control. It is not contagious, and many of those who develop it do not die from it; those that do die from it often take months and years to do so.

A virus would be a more efficient method of population control than a randomly occurring non-infectious, not necessarily fatal disease.

Thirdly, you wouldn't discover a 'cure for cancer'. Cancer is hundreds of diseases, not just one. The difficulty is that different cancers are caused by different things, so no one strategy can prevent them, and different cancers respond to different treatments so no one treatment can cure them all. There will never be a magic bullet that cures, never be a Eureka! moment when a single substance or procedure is found that will reverse all types of cancer.

Fourthly, though there is no guaranteed cure for any cancer, some cancers CAN be cured these days. 7 out of 10 children are cured of cancer. Testicular cancer, Hodgkin's disease, and many cases of leukaemia can all be cured in adults with chemotherapy, most skin cancers are cured with surgery, and many cases of thyroid cancer and cancer of the larynx are cured with radiotherapy. Many other types of cancer are also cured if they are found early enough.

You may be interested to know that the people responsible for the discoveries that led to these cancers being cured were not assassinated.

There is still a long way to go, especially with some of the commonest types of cancer such as lung, breast, bowel and prostate cancer.

No, there is no hidden cancer cure, no conspiracy to hide a cancer cure from us either for reasons of profit or to control population.. The conspiracy theory is an urban myth, a sort of game played by those who have not had cancer or close experience of it.

You have to ask yourself who would profit from covering up cures?

Governments? All the world's governments would have to be in cahoots. I live in the UK; we don't pay for our medical treatment, including cancer treatment. Cancer treatment costs our government many, many billions. If there were a cure for cancer that would save them this money, believe me that's what we'd be getting.

We have the same treatments as in the US and elsewhere in the world. And our doctors are salaried; they wouldn't make an extra penny if the cancer rates doubled tomorrow, or lose money if the cancer rate dropped by half tomorrow.

Drug companies? Any drug company discovering a cure would make far more money than they can have dreamed of making up till now.

Doctors, scientists, researchers etc? They would be watching their relatives die and dying themselves (they and their families develop cancer at the same rate as the rest of the population) rather than revealing the existing secret cure

And in order to prove that any secret, hidden cure worked, thousands of people would have to have been cured by it. They’d all be keeping quiet too – not a word to the media from any of them either.

Most unlikely of all, every medical professional in the whole world would have agreed to keep existence of a cure secret. Every single one. One blabbermouth, one disgruntled researcher or sacked nurse and the whole conspiracy’s blown. Newspapers and other media wouldn't have got a sniff of it.

Think before you post.

I can see from your profile that you are a man of academic excellence and insightful thinking. Of course not, you are a bored guy sitting at home with nothing meaningful to do, so you posted this nonsense. How close was that to describing your resume?
