Never heard of such, since the body is made up of mostly water............ |

Your body is like 70% water. In theory they would be dead. I am pretty sure that is a lethal dosage of an allergen. |

No it's impossible to be allergic to watter cause your body is made up mostly by watter so no you can't however you can be allergic to the chemicles in a watter bottle |

No. Being allergic to water is impossible. Our body is mostly water. |

No. We are over 70% made of water. Without water you cannot exist.
Water is in every beverage for human consumption. Water is the origin of all life.
Water is found everywhere in space. Water has been found on Mars. Water is in our star stuff.
Water is a necessity. |

nope because everyone needs water to transport cells and digest food etc., and theres literally nothing in water except hydrogen and water |

No, but if you drink too much you can die from it.
A while back someone from a radio show had a contest to see who can drink the most water and some lady died.
But, as far as being allergic, no. |

Christina

Nope.
They can be allergic to some waters that aren't purified if it has chlorine, fluoride, iron, or sulfer. But plain water, nopeee. :] |

Very unlikely. If I remember correctly, our bodies are at least 60% water. |

I think that it would be impossible to be allergic to just plain water, hydrogen and oxygen. However, there are many things added to, or just occur in the water we drink, such as chemicals, and minerals. My brother is actually allergic to some types of tap water and gets very sick after he consumes it. |

you can get a histamine response in that you get red , itchy blotches all over you or can get a netted pattern, reticular type pattern with heat /or cold. I know most of it is benign, but there can be an underlying condition. research livedo reticularis or raynauds disease/phenomenon. I'm sorry, I can't think of the exact reason why skin get's itchy , but, I don't think it's the water, its your immune system or lymph system response. |

Yes, most of our body is made of water like everyone is telling you. And YES you can be allergic to water. I seen a documentary on t.v. back in the day. It was a 2 hour special on this little girls life and she was allergic to water. She couldn't go out when it rained, she took a bath ONCE a week but only cause she had to. Her whole body broke out with a rash and bumps if her skin got wet. So she never died from it or nothing but yes she was allergic to it. My dad is allergic to the sun. If he goes out without long sleeves on his arms break out with bumps. Just remember- ANYTHING is possible!!! |

yeh you can
but you dont survive. considering your body is made up of 98% water, you are basically fighting yourself. it is possible though, people just dont live long enough to tell their stories.
some people have strong reactions to it, but it isnt lyk an anaphilactic shock. i remember seenig this story of a girl, i think she was 14, and her skin would blow up and get extremely hot sensations and shed get a rash from being in contact with water, but yet she could still drink anything
so odd i think, but hey its possible |

Not water itself, however someone could probably be allergic to tap water. They add things into tap water like fluoride and other chemicals. Fluoride is actually a poison so it sorta ticks me off that they take it upon themselves to add a small dose of poison to our water. Whos to judge how much poison it too much. To me, I would rather have no poison in my water, for sure. |

It is possible. I seen this thing on tv a while ago about this little girl that was allergic to water. She could not go out in the rain. She has break outs around all pores of her body--like the eyes, around the lips, etc. And to take a bath she had this moose substance she had to rub all over her body. However, it is extremely rare. |

I had a friend growing up who was allergic to some cleaner or disinfectant or something like that, that some water companies used to purify their water. So she could only drink water her mom purified from the faucet. It wasn't the water itself though. |

No.
Technically, one can only be allergic to proteins. However, irritating reactions can occur due to other substances, and people often refer to them, inaccurately, as allergies.
Pure water is the main component of all life. It is essential to life.
It's possible that something in the water could cause a reaction though.
Of course little kids may not know this. I've heard children claim to be allergic to water, and demand soda instead. |

YES...it is called Aquagenic Urticaria
Aquagenic urticaria is a rare disorder characterized by the occurrence of pruritus (itching) and wheals (welts) after temporary contact with water.

Well anything is possible there are people who are "allergic" to light but currently there are no reports of people being allergic to water because then how would they be able to survive? But like i said it could be a freak birthdefect or somthing you just never know |
