i've been using it my whole life (well i'm thirteen)

and i dont know why but i found this cool looking chapstick
so i bought it,
it was this silver looking one.

and eversince that,
chapstick or any other lip moisturizers
do not work,
only make my lips more chapped
and after a little while (after putting chapstick on)
i get this burning feeling, and i wipe it off.

please help me!
what do i do?
Additional Details
i dont get it.
why cant i ask this?

and i dont have herpes.

i havent kissed anyone

pretty girls dont use chapstick

Amberielle Is Toucan Sam :D
Perhaps you have contracted a special disease.
It's called the "Fire Burning Lips."
Did you recently hear the song "Fire Burning" by Sean Kingston? Probably. After hearing the song, your lips wanted to be cool, so they went along with the music.

Bill Brown

quite possibly, just take a break from it for a while then test it again in a month or so

dont listen to people who are saying herpes that is not why the same happened to me i bought one that was in this silverish colored and made my lips chaped no matter what and then i bought this chapstick named (NIVEA) it has water in it well not were you can tell though it will help use it atleast 3 times a day i love it my lips are so smooth and not chaped no more XD o_O by the way im 15

Go ask a dermatologist.

orange juice
i used to get that,, its just the type of chap stick you used. b/c you cant just become allergic to something

That exact same thing happened to me!! I started using Aveeno chapstick about a year ago and haven't had chapped lips since. It is in a tanish bottle. you can find it at target or anywhere like that. I really hope you try it!! good luck!

soccer Girl
you are probably just allergic to that particular brand. try buying another one, and if that burns too, tell someone.

it could also just be a certain ingredient in the chapstick that makes it burn. Sometimes when i use a certain face mask, it burns, but im not allergic to those.

it could also be that your lips were too chapped and became cracked and the chapstick burned when it went into those cracks.

You might be, or you just have sensitive skin.

Canadian Ire
stop using it and see. It is for the winter time anyways. It is not lipstick, nor is it meant to be candy(sounds like you are licking it off.)

you must be to 1 of the ingredients. tell your doc.
maybe you can use something else.
chapstick= petroleum product of sorts.

you just have herpes

just dont use it! its as simple as that

try a differet brand... if it doesn't work... yes u probably r

It's possible..you should just stick with the kind you have been using and know its ok...you silly girl..buying something cause it looked cool LOL

F*** that guy that said u have herpes

i think that ur lips are chapped.
just buy a regular chapstick .
The chapstick that i use is the brand Chapstick.

I'm glad you don't have herpes and that you haven't kissed anyone. you're very young. I get sensitive with some chap sticks, i like the one neutrogena makes, you can get it at Rite-Aid or Walgreen's. If that doesn't work, try using vaseline, yep, good old petroleum jelly, I've never heard of anyone being allergic to it and you can use it on minor cuts, scrapes and burns. apply a thin layer to protect from the wind. Also, you might want to try applying it at night. Or go a few days without anything, and give yourself a chance to heal. Hope this helps.
