My son is allergic to...?
cow's milk, gluten, oats, wheat, egg whites, peanut butter (he has eczema). Now my concerns are cooking. Do any of you know where and what brand I can get goat milk products (not just goat milk) but like chocolate. I haven't the slightest clue where to get it. My son is 9 months old so I am preping myself to change my cooking ways to adapt to him and my daughter who can eat anything (who runs away from veggies lol). Any input about anything is great and helpful (especially the chocolate thing!)THX
Additional Details
and soy. Forgot to mention

Potato bread, barley, soy/rice/oat/hemp milk, applesauce (works to replace eggs in cooking) are good substitutes for the things you stated. Waiit, if he's 9 months old, refrain from giving him soy milk, some of the things in it can be harmful to an infant of his age, try rice, oat or hemp. I prefer oat.

friend
wow you should stick with stuff he's not alergic too and hope they find a cure for allergies

Have you tried a health/whole/organic foods store? Check some websites regarding autistic children. Many parents of autistic children have their children on what's called gf/cf diet (gluten free/casien free) diet. Casien is a protein in milk. Even though your child is not autistic, they may have some tips for you.

I don't have any allergies, but I like soy milk. Silk brand has pretty good chocolate soy milk, and it has more calcium than milk. It also has pretty much everything milk has, except for the lactose, and has lots of minerals and vitamins.

you should get him allergy shots. then he'll be able to eat some of that stuff.
give him plenty of fruits and veggies and meat and poultry.
whole foods will have what you need. they'll probably have the right kind of chocolate. they have a ton of gluten free, vegan type of stuff.

Aw poor thing. I'm guessing his eczema is pretty serious if you're avoiding all that good food. You could try adding sweetened cocoa powder, found usually at a grociery store or health food store, into the goat's milk.
This is some serious stuff. Have you tried giving him oatmeal baths? They might help. They seriously helped me for 12 years! Good luck!

You can buy goat's milk products at Whole Foods or maybe even Trader Joe's. Try making your own chocolate goat milk by putting some allergen free chocolate power or melted chocolate in the milk.

I've just recently found out about my food allergies so I know how difficult it is to change eating habits. I'm allergic to coffee, cow dairy (cheese, milk, ect), egg whites and yolks, sesame seeds, and blueberries. It was overwhelming to figure out all the foods that I had to cut out. At least your son found out at a really young age so for him, it'll be normal.

I've found that chocolate almond milk is really tasty and pretty close to the original cow milk. It doesn't have the soy chalky aftertaste. I'd recommend that for yourself or your daughter though. Probably don't want to feed that to your 9mo son.

For chocolate you want to make sure that there are no dairy proteins in it... Milk, casein, whey, ect.

There's lots of substitutions you can used for eggs and milk in baking. I've found these sites really useful. Besides listing substitutes for baking and cooking they also list a lot of the different names that can be listed in ingredients that can be allergens in prepared or packaged food items.

Good luck and I hope that these links help you out. There's a lot of information out there for food allergies.
