Just started Flonase yesterday and it doesn't seem to be working properly..?
It's actually Fluticasone (generic for Flonase) but I started the spray yesterday morning and this morning and it doesn't seem to be making a difference whatsoever - I am sneezing up a storm, and my nose is itching.. any feedback?

Hi, I have been taking this for years as i have really bad asthma. It does seem to help, but it did take about a week before i noticed any difference. So keep going with it and hopefully you will see an improvement soon.

It takes a few days for it to start working.

Anything like that builds up over time. If you read the back or whatever came in the box, it'll tell you that you'll most likely start feeling results after a few days, and the best results after a week. Just be patient, it'll work! :]

Flonase alone does not take away my allergic symptoms. I have to use other medications too--like singulair. Saline washes a few times a day to the nose also is helpful

I was on that for a while. It took about 3 or 4 days before I could really tell a big difference. Keep using it for a few days and see what happens.

Flonase and the generic is a steroid. I have used it for years along with Zyrtec. Since I have severe allergies---it does not work alone. The allergist advised me that I needed to take both the Flonase along with allergy medicine to see a real difference. Flonase taken alone just never did the trick for me.

I mainly take the Flonase to keep the inflammation down so my nose isn't running all the time.

Suggest talking to your doctor and see if he thinks you should be receiving another med in addition to this.
