Can I use Benadryl cream on my infant's face for a rash? I think it is an allergy to wettness from saliva

Additional Details
P.S. I HAVE TRIED HYDROCORTIZONE ONE PERCENT AND TWO AND A HALF PERCENT>

forget cortisone creams, doctors overprescribe them. They are dangerous and usually ineffective anyway. Ask your doctor about any creams before using them, as many can burn baby's delicate skin causing bigger problems.
You just need to stop the saliva on the face, a great way to dry out the skin is to use baby powder overnight! Just rub in gently with your fingers, then apply a thin layer of barrier cream during the day.
When the rash is bad, I found a small amount of calamine lotion healed it all up virtually overnight. It's also safe.

lord no use vassaline or go to the doctor for a antibiotic

hydrocortison would probably be better call the Pediatrican

If the baby's face is badly chapped from drooling, either because the little one is teething, etc. Then just use a little Vaseline petroleum jelly. It heals chapped skin well, and is completely safe for the baby. When skin gets wet and stays wet, it chaps. Dry the skin gently then apply a liberal amount of Vaseline. Several applications may be necessary, it will keep skin smooth and should help your baby feel better. If this doesn't help, call the doctor and ask.

Use your infant's diaper rash cream on the area. Apply lightly. The same thing is happening to his/her face that is happening on their bottom when they get diaper rash.

My son had the same problem, under his chin and near his bottom lip, we used Benadryl cream and it went away within a day, just make sure u put it on when your little one is about to sleep, then they are less likley to rub there hands in it and put them in there mouth. Good luck
