Sod.sulfacetamide/sulfur Tf is used to help treat acne and other skin conditions (e.g., seborrheic dermatitis). This product contains an antibacterial agent and a drying agent which promotes shedding of the top layer of skin (keratolysis).

Uses
Sod.sulfacetamide/sulfur Tf is used to help treat acne and other skin conditions (e.g., seborrheic dermatitis). This product contains an antibacterial agent and a drying agent which promotes shedding of the top layer of skin (keratolysis).


Storage
  • Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from light and moisture.
  • Do not store in the bathroom.
  • Keep all medicines away from children and pets.


Overdose
  • If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
  • Sod.sulfacetamide/sulfur Tf may be harmful if swallowed.

How To Use
  • Sod.sulfacetamide/sulfur Tf is for use on the skin only.
  • Some products should be shaken prior to use.
  • Check your product labeling or ask your pharmacist to find out whether or not your product needs to be shaken before each use.
  • Clean the affected area and apply a thin layer of medication to the skin 1 to 3 times daily, or use as directed by your doctor.
  • Avoid getting any of Sod.sulfacetamide/sulfur Tf in the eyes or inside the nose or mouth.

Side Effects
  • Redness and irritation of the skin may occur.
  • If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor.
  • Tell your doctor immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: cracked skin, rash.
  • Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: weakness, dark urine, yellowing eyes or skin, persistent sore throat, fever, easy bruising/bleeding.
  • You may be at increased risk for side effects if Sod.sulfacetamide/sulfur Tf is used on raw or broken skin.
  • Consult your doctor for details.
  • An allergic reaction to Sod.sulfacetamide/sulfur Tf is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs.
  • Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing.
  • If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions
  • Sod.sulfacetamide/sulfur Tf should not be used if you have certain medical conditions.
  • Before using Sod.sulfacetamide/sulfur Tf, consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have: kidney disease, allergies to sulfa drugs.
  • Sod.sulfacetamide/sulfur Tf should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy.
  • Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
  • Based on information of related drugs, Sod.sulfacetamide/sulfur Tf may pass into breast milk.
  • Therefore, breast-feeding while using Sod.sulfacetamide/sulfur Tf is not recommended.

Missed Dose
  • If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember.
  • If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
  • Do not double the dose to catch up.

  • Before using Sod.sulfacetamide/sulfur Tf, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription products you may use, especially of: other skin products.
  • Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
