Uses
Calamine Plain is used to help relieve itching, pain and discomfort due to poison ivy, poison oak and poison sumac.


Storage
  • Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from light and moisture.
  • Do not freeze.


Overdose
  • If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

How To Use
  • Wash and completely dry the affected area before applying the lotion.
  • Shake lotion well before use.
  • Apply Calamine Plain to the affected area of skin, generally three to four times daily or as directed by your physician.
  • Learn proper use of Calamine Plain.
  • Consult your pharmacist.
  • Calamine Plain is for external use only.
  • Notify your doctor if your condition does not improve in 7 days.

Side Effects
  • Very unlikely but report promptly: rash, irritation.
  • If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions
  • Tell your doctor your medical history and of any allergies you might have.
  • Avoid getting Calamine Plain in your eyes or on the inside of your nose, mouth or genital area.

Missed Dose
  • If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember.
  • If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
  • Do not double the dose to catch up.

Drug Interactions
  • Tell your doctor of all nonprescription and prescription medication you may use, especially: other skin products.
  • Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
