Anurx is used to relieve swelling, irritation and itching associated with hemorrhoids.

Uses
Anurx is used to relieve swelling, irritation and itching associated with hemorrhoids.


Storage
  • Store suppositories at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light.
  • They may be refrigerated.
  • Keep this and all medication out of the reach of children.


Overdose
  • If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
  • Anurx may be harmful if swallowed.

How To Use
  • Anurx is for rectal use only.
  • Gently insert one suppository into the rectum after each bowel movement.
  • To use suppositories, unwrap the suppository.
  • Lie on your left side with the right knee bent.
  • Carefully push the suppository (pointed side first) just inside the rectum with your finger.
  • Do not push up high.
  • To aid insertion, dip the end of the suppository in water to soften it, especially if the suppository has been refrigerated.
  • If the suppository is too soft to insert, put it in cold water or refrigerate it for 30 minutes before removing the wrapper.
  • Do not use Anurx if hemorrhoids are bleeding or the rectal area is raw and irritated.

Side Effects
  • Anurx is generally well tolerated when used as directed.
  • Irritation may occur if the rectal tissue is raw or bleeding.
  • If symptoms do not improve within 7 days or bleeding, pain or irritation occurs, notify your doctor.
  • If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions
  • Tell your doctor if you have: other illnesses, any allergies.
  • Anurx should be used cautiously during pregnancy.
  • Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
  • It is not known if Anurx appears in breast milk.
  • Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Missed Dose
  • If you miss a dose, use it as soon as remembered.
  • Do not double-up the dose to catch up.

Drug Interactions
  • Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take, including: laxatives.
  • Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
